Vehicle Detail
The Car: 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe, 6 Cylinder, inline 200 CI engine, 3 speed Tranny. Odometer reads 58,100 miles. History: I bought this car in 1988 and have owned it for 23 years. Car was driven daily from 1988 until 1995 in Ohio, and driven occasionally as I moved to Kansas, Washington and now Florida with the military. Engine was rebuilt in 2000 with a performance Crane Cam, Hooker headers and exhaust system. Brake were redone in 2009. Since engine rebuild, the car has less than 5,000 miles on it. Car is great running shape and I drive it once or twice a week now to and from work. The body and interior: for a 46 year old car, it is great shape but needs some TLC to bring it back to its glory days. There are some cosmetic rust spots on the rear fender wells, as well as 2 dents in the roof above the passenger seat from a branch that fell on the car in 2000. Dents are cosmetic and easy to fix. There is some rust under the rear window along the passenger side as well as a dent in the front left body panel under the front bumper. Shock towers and engine compartment are in great shape. Interior is black and in good shape. Drivers seat has a small tear in the seam. Dash is in great shape other than one cut/alteration in the AM radio mounting (as a teenager, I put a radio into the car - not the smartest thing, but whoever accused teens of being far-sighted?) Truth in lending: while I have owned the car for 23 years, I can make no guarantees about the lineage prior to my ownership other than it came from Ohio. The car may have been painted at some point. The passenger door has had some body work from a minor accident during my highschool years. I am selling because I don't have the patience or desire to devote time and resources to bring this car back to its glory. The engine was swapped in the past as the numbers do not match, however it is in great shape and sounds like a V-8. Listing price is my lowest price. If it sells, great, if not, I don't have to sell. Terms: Winning bidder pays $500 within 48 hours, balance within 7 days. Condition is "as is, where is". No guarantees implied. Buyer responsible for shipping. I have a clear Ohio title. Also included with the car are the 4 original hubcaps (FOMOCO and not pictured). Questions, please contact me.On Sep-04-11 at 17:20:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Update as of Sept 4: The vehicle is currently inoperable as I believe either the solenoid or the starter went out today (9/4/11). I started the vehicle today to drive it and it ran fine, however it won;t start now. As with anything over 40 (myself included), things happen -and not always at the most opportune time. Morally and ethically, I am disclosing this for any and all who are considering my Mustang. While I figure that anyone buying this car is not in it for the super powerful 6 cylinder, it is a material fact that I feel necessary to disclose. For the individual who has already made a bid, consider this a "get out of jail free" opportunity if you like. Sorry to all to list an operating car and have it "go down" for minor work in the interim. For those of you asking about trades/barter, I may be interested in a Waverunner or Ski Boat, but nothing else.
