Vehicle Detail
I bought this car with 45,000 miles on her about five years ago and pushed her into the garage ... The next spring, she rolled out with a new clutch, new tires, 16" 928 telephone dial wheels and everything rubber replaced -- transaxle mounts, engine mounts, belts, hoses, brakes, window seals, sunroof seals, etc. Anything not made of steel or aluminum got the heave and she became my daily driver for the better part of five years. Everything works. Heat is hot, A/C is cold, no leaks, drips or other mechanical issues. The speedometer and ODO died a few years back, and I haven't replaced the cable. I estimate there's about 90,000 miles on the car, plus or minus, given how much I drove her over the last five years. Now: She IS 22 years old, and the interior is worn from being driven, but no tears in the fabric or anything. Just normal wear. A few dings on the body as you'd expect after two decades, and the windshield has a stone chip that will need attention someday. A little interior TLC and some paint, and she could easily be a trophy winner. Drives perfectly. Neurotically maintained, about $15,000 invested. You can expect to fire her up and drive her every day with no issues. She's full of synthetic oil, has two new front tires (< 100 miles) and two very good back tires on 16" 928 telephone dials. They look exactly stock, but more aluminum and a lower profile tire yields the same rolling radius with more rubber on the road. Can EASILY outcorner a modern 911 ( have demonstrated before) Added larger swaybars, teflon bushings, Alpine stereo, new speakers, XM, the usual bits. If you're looking for a track car to flog, please find something else. This is a sweet driver looking for a good home and some TLC. She's not new, but will give years of trouble-free service and I've spent a lot of enjoyable hours restoring and driving my 924S. Hope you enjoy her too!
