Vehicle Detail

Offered for sale here is my very dependable 1969 Buick Custom Skylark that I have owned since November of 2003. In the almost 8 years of ownership I have driven it 10,231 miles so right now the odometer is reading 53,546 original miles. I only worked 5 miles from home so used it many days for regular transportation. Since I have owned it it has been kept under one of my open carports. Now that I am no longer working I do not need three cars and have decided to sell it. The black interior is really nice with no damage and I am sure it is all original except for the radio. The pictures make it look light but that is only due to the sun this morning. The black vinyl top is also very good. The body shows rust but it appears to be only on the surface. I was going to get it repainted at some point but never got around to it since it was all right for me as it was. The trunk still retains the original floor mat. There is some rust on the rear bumper but the front bumper is okay. One of the hub caps is off but I have it. This is an 8 cylinder car with a vin no. 444379H197058. It has power steering but no power brakes or AC. The windows are manual. If it sits a while it takes a little coaxing to get started but with regular use that is not the case. My mechanic lives right down my road so it was easy to keep it maintained. I probably have all of my records for that and some from the previous owners. In November of 2009 I had a new carborater installed. The windshield washer motor, installed in May of 2009, needs work but the wipers work and the heater is excellent. It originated in NC, then gravitated to Virginia and then to me in MD so has always been a southern car. I also have the owner's manual, the original Buick Vehicle Protect-O-Plate, the booklet showing Buick Approved Accessories and the Buick New Vehicle Warranty and Owner Protection Plan. I sell mostly used items and they are sold as such so ask questions since returns are not accepted. Shipping to any destination is the responsibility of the buyer if there is one. I am relisting this car--had tons of lookers at my slightly higher price but really would like it to move so have lowered it. However, it will never be listed again for a price lower than this starting price since I think it is very fair and I do not NEED to sell it. I have added a couple pictures to show the condition of the trunk under the mat--surface rust only as far as I can tell. Also, the shelf between the rear back window and the seat has a little swelling but it is still good. Please note the water stains from the leak in that window. If you are looking to buy a 42 year old car in showroom/mint/immaculate condition, this car is not for you. I bought it to actually use and not show--was never interested--and it has served me well for as long as I have owned it.
