Vehicle Detail
For bid is a beautifully restored LOW MILEAGE Mars Orange 1973 Honda CT90 that was taken completely apart sand blasted then primed, painted and clear coated. This 1973 Honda CT90 has a clear title and is currently registered. It has the HI-LOW transmission allowing eight speeds. The handlebars do rotate for RV use. The Front forks were painted the correct color and have NEW fork seals, and NEW fork boots installed. Both seats are NEW and a NEW “HONDA” logo was added to the rear buddy seat with vinyl paint. Both Gas tanks (Orange Main Gas Tank and Auxiliary Gray Gas Tank) were acid washed coated on the inside painted with the correct color (Mars Orange and charcoal gray) then clear coated. I also installed a NEW gas caps on both tanks. There is no rust in either gas tank and they will never rust. They both look NEW on the inside. I have coated dozens of these Honda gas tanks and they are a "professional job" as there are a "few tricks" to coating gas tanks so they come out correct and like new on the inside. The carburetor is a HIGH ALTITUDE carb that has the pull out button for elevations above 6,000 feet above sea level. This Carb was vatted (just like your Honda dealer would do) and NEW gaskets and a NEW Honda carburetor rebuild kit was installed. The auxiliary gas tank has a NEW correct decal added also. The engine side cases were painted and clear coated and a NEW rubber clutch cover was installed. The engine runs strong and doesn’t burn any oil. The oil was changed using NEW Honda G4 10/40 motor oil. The valves were adjusted and also the cam chain tension checked. NEW ignition points were installed and adjusted to the proper gap (.016) The front and rear tires, tubes and rim straps are all NEW (Cheng Shin Trials) and they give a very smooth ride. A NEW battery was installed and also a NEW battery cover. The inside area where the battery is situated was also sandblasted, primed, painted and clear coated so it looks like new also. I have installed a NEW drive chain and also a NEW rear sprocket. The chrome is all excellent. The speedometer was replaced with a NEW Honda NOS speedometer. The exhaust was replaced with a NEW Honda NOS exhaust with a spark arrestor that is approved for US National Forest use I also installed all NEW heat insulator gaskets on the exhaust and exhaust shield. The brakes were completely disassembled and NEW brake shoes were installed and all of the brake cams cleaned and greased. NEW front and rear brake cables were installed and also the brake wire on the handlebars. The turn signals (both front and rear) are all NEW including NEW bulbs. The hand grips are correct and also NEW. A NEW Stanley sealed beam headlight was installed. A NEW air cleaner was installed. The chrome is all excellent without any rust. The air cleaner box and down tube cover were both painted the correct color and clear coated with NEW graphics. NEW Honda NOS chrome rear view mirrors are installed. The front fork assembly was disassembled, cleaned and greased. The earlier Honda trail 90's were true trail bikes in that the rear brake also can be actuated from the left handlebar lever as well as the foot lever…this was an option that was excellent for trail riding while descending a steep grade or kickstarting the bike on a steep grade as you can keep both feet on the ground and still actuate the rear brake from the left handlebar brake lever…..the rear brake tail light is actuated from the left brake lever also as well as the foot lever. The front brake is actuated from the right handlebar lever as in all motorcycles. Everything works like NEW…horn (loud), head light (both hi-low beams), tail lights, brake lights, indicator lights and turn signals. Buyer responsible for any shipping or pickup cost.
