1960 Pontiac Ventura Custom Show Car If you are looking for a custom car that you can cruise down the boulevard and drive home with a trophy at the weekend car show, this is the car for you! This car has won best paint at Springfield Street Machine Nationals, award of excellence at Hot Rod Supernationals and participants choice at street machine nationals as well as numerous local shows and has appeared in a large rock radio shows Hot Rod Calender. Let's get to the details: Body: Proffesionally customized by Midwest Rod and Restoration including smoothing the door handles and mirrors.before a spectacular two tone paint scheme was applied using Dupont Copper Sunset and Champagne Fizz with a black high light stripe. The original bumpers were re-chromed and optional backup light deletes installed. This makes for a spectacular paint scheme that draws crowds wherever it goes. Engine: Pontiac enthusiasts will drool over the 1965 421 used for this build. 4 bolt main, steel crank 10:1 compression is topped with Offenhauser dual quad intake fed by 2 Edelbrock 500 cfm carbs. The exhaust starts with long branch manifolds into 2 1/2 inch exhaust through dyno max mufflers. If this is not enough power there is also the NOS direct port nitrous system. Dress up is achieved with March pulleys and billet specialties air cleaner. Want to cruise in comfort? There is also a Hot Rod Air A/C system if you find the Hot Summer nights a bit too hot. Cooling of the engine is handled by a Griffin dual 1 1/4" core radiator and electric fan. Suspension: Best of both worlds. The dependability and ease of a completely restored suspension with the added benefit of an Air Ride system. Set the ride hight to your desire or slam it down at the cruise night or car show. Wheels and Tires: Colorado Custom Copper Mountain wheels on all four corners. 18X8 up front and 20X8.5 on the back all with BF Goodrich G force tires and black wheel discs. Drivetrain: TH400 shifted with a Hurst Pistol Grip using an 11" 2500 stall Hughes Torque Converter. The power heads to a 4:11 posi with strange axles. Interior: Best for last. Over 5,000.00 was spent on this custom ultra-leather interior. From the custom headliner to the beautifull custom trunk space, the interior has to be seen to be believed.
