Hello Ebay, I am selling my 1971 Saab Sonett III, I bought the car with the hopes of restoring it but unfortunaetly my wife has become badly injured and I cannot work on the car and take car of her and our 1 year old. I bought this beauty on ebay in may and since then I have put in about 4000 in parts into it. They are not all in the car at this point but they are literally taking up my entire guest bedroom. To give you an idea of what parts I have to go onto it, I have a MSS exhaust system, new alternator, new cooling pipes, new sanden 508 a/c compressor, everything needed to do the front and rear brakes, new clutch master cylinder(intended for a sonett II but will fit the III), new clutch pressure plate and clutch, and a ton more stuff. There are 2 bad rust spots in the car, the passenger side rocker panel has a rust hole a little smaller than a baseball, and the rocker panel on the drivers side will need replacing also. The car currently doesnt run which i am thinking that is because the clutch and pressure plate need to be changed and the new master cylinder installed to get the clutch to move and allow the engine to turn over. I also have put in a used tach speedo multi gauge assembly into it ( it didnt come with one) and a new shift arm and shift knob, and new steering wheel. I also put in new shocks changed over the ignition system to a pertronix system, blue ignition coil. I does need tires, couldnt justify putting on new tires when it wasnt ready to run yet. Car will also come with saab v4 factory service manual, saab sonett III suppliment manual, and several manuals from ashcraft vintage saab. Buyer is responsible for picking car up as i dont have time to deliver the car unless you are within a 50 mile radius, but you will be responsible for paying costs to get the car to you. If coming to pick it up I reccomend using a uhaul car trailer, it will fit and bring a vehicle with alot of room to carry the parts, best bet is to bring a full sized pickup. I am also considering trades, cars that run only please. Car will come with a bill of sale, also the hood isnt on in the pictures but I have placed it back on the car.
