Dry Storage for over 60 years. Super low miles. All Original. Runs great, New Battery. Rebuilt Master. rebuilt Carb. New fuel pump. Fluid drive Chrysler Tranny shifts fine. Fuel tank restored. Brand New Radials. I have only performed some sympathetic maintenance on this incredible time capsule. Chrysler only made a total 7,500 hundred of these special long wheel base Suburbans from 46 thru 48. DeSoto's most expensive car of the 40's. All Electric, lamps and gauges work. Car was repainted in the very early fifties or late forties, thought to be for use by Hotel fleet , No body damage repair found anywhere. this car is straight and solid. the paint is tired and would benefit from a respray. all chrome and bright work still presentable as a survivor. Beautiful underneath with only surface rust on the frame.Original Seats have no rips and are a 9 of 10 in condition. Seat tracks work fine The Wood and Bakelite interior is the best ORIGINAL you will find outside of a museum. I have only driven this car around the neighborhood to test, you will need to have it transported, it has not been on the road since 1954. Clear title from the second owner ,who had this car since around 1953. He traded his Harley Davidson for it then parked it in the garage ready for a cross country trip that never happened.Driven 14 miles since 1954 The car also has period correct after market directional knob and shift knob along with the coolest never used Brass hunting Dog lighter. happy to arrange a viewing for REAL interested parties.
