Vehicle Detail
1970 Chevelle project car with lots of new parts and rebuilt motor - might be SS 454. Equipped with LS-5 454 big block, Turbo 350 automatic transmission, 12 bolt differential, power steering and brakes, and air conditioning. Cowl hood, column shift with bench seats, SS gauges, paint code 75 75 (Cranberry Red). I do not have the build sheet for the car, but it has enough of the SS options that it is restorable as an SS. The engine was rebuilt approximately two years ago. It has a late 1960‘s cast iron intake presently; the auction includes a low rise LS5 cast iron intake manifold (loose) for the car. I do not know the condition of the transmission. Engine casting codes appear to be 3963512, date L 10 9, and stamped pad numbers 10819BPD 11S1311973. The LS5 manifold has P/N 3955287. The Fisher body tag has been painted and is hard to read other than the body style of 70-13637 and paint codes of 75 75 . The body condition is as follows: The hood is very nice, and is apparently the correct cranberry red with black stripes; however the previous owner installed Cowl Induction emblems on the hood, so holes were drilled in the hood for these. The rest of the car has been painted Viper Red. The rear quarter panels have been replaced; the front fenders, doors and deck lid and overall the body appears to be in good shape and pretty straight for the age of the car. There is one small area high on the drivers rear quarter where the paint is bubbling, and there are a few scratches and chips in the paint in various places. There appear to have been rust repairs around both the rear window and windshield. There are pencil sized rust holes in the floor boards, and some in the trunk as well. One hole under the drivers floorboard appears to be larger, maybe 3/4”. I don’t know that the floor boards or trunk floor are re-useable, but most of the holes are small. The interior is black, with black carpet, front bench seats (some wear on the vinyl on the back), and rear seats which have the vinyl intact. The SS dash has some damage around the radio opening. Included in the auction are a lot of new replacement interior items to complete the rest of the inside of the car. Except for the dash most of the interior is not permanently installed at this time. The car has a partial exhaust system which is probably not re-useable, and no exhaust manifolds. The gas tank is not re-useable, and the car does not have the fuel pump or pump to carburetor line. The Quadrajet on the engine is probably not re-useable. The following is a list of all the loose or installed parts I am selling with the car. New and used parts on or with the car: Used parts are noted otherwise all parts are new Wheels and tires: original SS wheels dated late 1969, with new aftermarket SS center caps and wheel rings, all riding on new Firestone Wide Track Oval bias ply tires New glass - front and rear windshields, door glass and back seat glass still in the shipping containers (back seat windows include chrome edge and seals) New windshield trim including base of windshield Rear window trim Headliner and headliner bars, sail panels, headliner trim (sides, front and rear), coat hooks and seat belt retainers, sun visors complete, dome light assembly, front and rear door panels and armrests, window felts complete, rear side filler panels, pillar covers, trunk divider insulation, window cranks Pair door sill plates Dash pad Rear window package tray and insulation Dash clock and amp gauge Headlight switch with knob AC blower motor switch Firewall pad AC control face plate Trunk mat Emergency brake release assembly Drivers side side view mirror Pair gas/brake pedal covers Set seat belts (used) Pair door jamb vents Set dash AC vents - center vents and side vents for AC SS steering wheel center cover with emblem Set door and hood bumpers Pair door jam interior light switches Steering shaft cover (used) Front and rear bumpers on the car, rear bumper has SS pad (loose.) There are more photos of the car at http://s1119.photobucket.com/albums/k631/dhba/. I encourage you to inspect the car in person if possible. If you want to see the car or have any questions you can email me through Ebay or call me at 713-256-0020, and I can try to answer your questions. All of the parts listed here will fit in the car except for the box and crate which contain the window glass. The buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs, but I will help in any way I can. Thank you for taking a look and good luck bidding.
