Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1961 Vw Volkswagen Crew Cab Pickup. These are great, can actually be used as a truck for everyday or occasional use. One of the first true crew cabs with the third door on passenger side. These are getting extremely hard to find. Especially early models like this one. This is NOT a show quality crew cab though. Read description below. Been in Santa Barbara area last thirty some years. One year only. Third door hinge covers, and earlier model with small dollar size running/brake lights and nipple signal lights in the front that work. Side gates drop down so you can load easier. Seats up to six people at a time. Runs great, has a 1600 duel port motor, with stock exhaust. No major dents anywhere. I don’t believe it has ever been hit in the nose or tail. Needs paint. Believe it was original sealing wax red from factory. This model does not have a fuel gauge from factory. Has an after market radio and 4 speakers that sounds good. Has correct complete bumpers front and back. Not without any dents. Has pedestal and seat in back, usually missing. Currently registered with, pink slip in hand, signed by previous owner. Seats are old but not torn (except for a tear in rear seat). Previous owner stated that he had just put $600 into the brakes. My buddy, that has a 61 crew cab also. Drove the cab home to Santa Maria (from Santa Barbara) and mentioned it drove like a caddy. Its stock height, not lowered. Transmission shifts good. All in all it’s a complete drivable, usable crew cab. But it is 50 years old and is a Volkswagen that does show rust. Has usual rust, (see pic’s) but also has rust around rain gutter. I imagine that the Santa Barbara air wasn’t good to it. Well more work than I can do so drive it or restore it. Whatever you decide it’s a cool Volkswagen.I've described this as best I can and pictures tell the rest. I will sell to oversea buyers as long as payment clears then I'll ship. Thank you.
