Before I share any information about the vehicle, let me share with you some info about me so you know who you are buying from should you win. I am an old car guy, plain and simple. I have been playing with cars and trucks since my daddy bought me my first Mustang pedal car for Christmas in 1968....you read that right...pedal powered and 1968...I was 5 years old...and hooked for life...My daddy was a car nut, owning dozens of cool cars from the 1930's through the 1990's...he always loved clean unique cars He has been gone since 1996, but the love of, and the collection and sale of really clean and unique cars and trucks is still with me today in my life. I have been buying,cleaning,restoring,repairing,trading,showing, and drooling over grown up cars since 1979, and my wife and I have owned and operated our automobile dealership at it's present location since 1999. So,now that you have a little info about us,let me tell you about the Jeep. This is one of those really unique opportunities that don't come often.. I aquired this one owner Jeep from the original owner when he decided since he is retired,that he was in need of a large truck to pull a large travel trailer to see some of our country in his golden years. He wisely reasoned that a travel trailer the size he was going to pull needed a big truck in front He always babied and maintained the Jeep Liberty CRD and he had no intention of exceeding it's towing capacity or stopping power now. He loved the Liberty and the care he always gave it shows in it's shape! I have the original window sticker he provided me when I got it from him. I have the owners manual and the factory canvas cloth keeper for it. He even provided me a Jeep service manual on CD for it too. He also gave me both factory keyless entry keys and fob combos for it. He was the kind of guy that had an extra oil filter in his garage for the Jeep and he provided it to me too. I promptly sent the Jeep for it's Missouri State Safety inspection and had the oil changed using the proper full synthetic oil called for by the manufacturer. The shop informed me that all was very well with the only thing spotted being the brakes nearing the end of their life cycle. We had new brakes installed during service at that time. This is a vehicle you will get in and enjoy,not spend money on repairs now. You can fly in from 2000 miles away and drive home today knowing that it is freshly serviced and ready to hit the road without worries or concern! It is a 4 cylinder turbocharged engine that makes 160 hosepower,and even more impressively,295 lb. feet of torque at only 1800 RPM.It has GRUNT It is rated to get 26 mpg on the highway with it's 5 speed AUTOMATIC, and users report up to 29 on some Jeep forums out there. There are numerous performance and fuel modifications you can perform, but this Jeep has never been modified from it's original stock configuration. The original owner worked for a Christian based disaster relief organization,and the majority of the miles were accumualted on the highway travelling to whatever disaster needed their assistance at that time. He bought the Jeep after he retired knowing the diesel would be a fuel efficient and long lasting,durable,comfortable option for the travels ahead. The vehicle is a 4x4 model with the selec-trac 4wd system on it. It is equipped with the Limited package and includes all the nice options. It has the 17" alloy wheels package and a nice set of Goodyear white letter tires on it. They are probably at half life or so. They look nice on it too. The truck has an OPTIMA brand battery in it,so it will be ready for cold. Engine block heater from the factory too. It is equipped with a 5 speed automatic transmission.(545RFE MODEL). It has the factory CLASS 3 trailer tow packae installed on it already. It also is equipped with the factory power sunroof, nice option to have! Full size spare tire and wheel are mounted on the back too with cover. Safety features abound on this with 4 wheel ABS brakes, Front multistage airbags, Roll Over Mitigation system Electronic Stability Program, Brake Assist,Traction control, These are big safety improvements not found on the early year Liberties! It is in very nice,above average condition,but it is of course a previously driven and enjoyed vehicle. It will have nicks,scuffs,scrapes,dings,scratches and even a 6 month old Jeep will. I will include close up pictures of all areas of concern that I can find that I think might be something that would be worth mentioning to a buyer. If you get here and find a pencil eraser size mark that I didn't take pictures of,please be prepared to forgive me and live with it as it is a pre loved Jeep If I find half dollar sized marks, I will shoot pics of those to show to you. I just had a brand new windshield installed at inspection time too, I forgot to mention that in my inspection report earlier in the listing. All power options and accessories are working at this time as well. I have this vehicle on my lot for sale right now, so I will also share with you that a local buyer could purchase it at any time.
