I purchased this in 2006 from an Uncle in Florida who bought it new in 2001. At the time, it had 50,000 miles. Since then, it has been driven only in summer and stored in the winter. It now has 75,200 miles and climbing about 150 miles per week. It was originally serviced at Shepard Chevrolet in Vero Beach, FL and since then at Raymond Chevrolet in Antioch, IL. Other than a few oil changes, it has never been serviced anywhere but GM. This is a third vehicle for our 2 person family and we are cutting expenses to prepare for retirement in the next 4 or 5 years. Since I got the car, I have added rain shields on the windows and a LeBra to protect the front end. The car has the factory spoiler on the back trunk and a single CD player. The front brakes were replaced about 10K miles ago and the tires are in very good condition with plenty of tread. While the car is clean, a good detailing would make it look like brand new. This car has never been driven on salty roads and is absolutely rust free. There is one tiny door ding on one side. I drive this car in the summer and regularly get 22-23 mpg. On the highway, I can squeeze out 28-30 mpg using the cruise control. This car can be seen in Sunday afternoon through Thursday evening in Downers Grove, IL and in Friday evening thru Sunday afternoon in Antioch, IL. Due to the low mileage, after market warranties are available if you choose to purchase one. The car is sold as is where is. While there is nothing to hide, you are encouraged to inspect the car in person. I almost forgot, this Impala has a fully functional On Star system with it's own phone number and all of the On Star features including hands free voice activated dialing. The original analog system was discontinued and this car was converted to digital at a cost of $400. The On Star can be transferred to the new owner and you will have extra protection in the event of an accident or emergency. Most 2001 GM models will not a a functioning On Star system
