Vehicle Detail
1995 Saab 900 - 148,623 milesCar runs great, 5 speed manual transmission, engine and transmission in fine working order, ABS Anti lock brakes, MPG City 18-21, Highway 25-29, Champagne color.I spun out on a rainy evening and crunched in the rear of the car (mostly on left, see photos), would cost more than I am willing to spend to have the body professionally repaired otherwise I would keep it. This is my second Saab 900 (first one was from 1985), these are great cars. I bought it used when it had over 90,000 miles on it and it has never needed any major repairs.I do need to top off the coolant frequently, there must be a small leak in the radiator. Also, one of the tires has a slow leak in it and needs to be checked on occasionally. Neither of these are urgent fixes and are easily dealt with by frequent checking and adding air/coolant etc, but most likely will need to be attended to at some point. Aside from the obvious blemishes slight rust spots around the rear of the car where the damage is, there are also some minor scratches most noticeably on the front passenger door (see photo). Also, some of the cloth interior on the ceiling is coming loose in one area and I don't think the cruise control or the AC works anymore either.Hatchback works fine. After the crash though it had some leaks which have since been fixed by adding strips of foam filler, the foam is visible when the hatchback is open but not from the exterior. Though it is waterproof at the time from mild rains here in Michigan it could potentially present a problem if say in the winter you left it out with a foot of snow on top of it for an extended period of timeā¦that would be your call. You can see in the photos as well that the bumper which had come off is fastened on securely now with two heavy duty bolts.Due to the nature of older cars such as this nearing 150,000 miles car is sold as is. No returns. If you have any questions feel free to ask.Car is located in Troy, Michigan. Local pickup only. Car has been driven locally recently and as stated before it drives fine, if you are from out of state and plan on picking it up and driving it long distance you do so at your own risk. I do not see any reason why it would not function just fine but since it has not been used regularly since the crash I cannot make unwarranted guarantees. And like I mentioned before, if the car was not damaged cosmetically I would still be driving it.Thanks for looking!
