Vehicle Detail
This is a solid and reliable 1985 F150 Lariat. I have had this truck since 2004 when it had 96K miles on it and I have put another 90K on it. Everything works on this truck including the A/C, power windows, power door locks and cruise control. I have taken great pride in keeping everything working on this truck and have personally maintained this vehicle for the past 7 years. This truck has many features: Power WindowsPower LocksCruise ControlA/C retrofitted to R134A (cools great) Underhood Emergency Lamp with magnetCloth seatsEntry illuminationLocking Gas CapsLocking hood releaseLocking glove boxDual gas tanks (19 gallons each) Aluminum Tie-down rails on bed Sliding rear window5.0L EFI engine3.55 gears/limited slip differential Heavy Duty CoolingExternal transmission coolerRebuilt transmissionGlass pack muffler This truck also comes with a spare tire and 2 studded snow tires which you MUST take if you purchase this vehicle. The transmission was rebuilt about 35K miles ago. The original 1 row radiator has been replaced with a 2 row heavy duty cooling radiator. This truck leaks oil. Mostly around the valve covers but possibly around the oil pan or rear main as well. I usually have to add a quart of oil with each gas fill up. THIS TRUCK DOES NOT SMOKE! The driver's side door has a lot of rust on it and a few holes but no water enters the cab when driving in the rain. There are several spots with surface rust and a few spots are pretty rusted out. I did some body work on the truck by painting the hood. It's not perfect but looks nice. The tires are in good shape and have about 40K miles on them. The front end was aligned when the tires were new. Shocks are in good shape and the truck rides pretty good since it is an F150. Gas mileage is between 11 and 13 mpg depending on the conditions. The motor is solid and the oil has been changed every 3,000 miles. I would personally drive this truck anywhere and I believe that the 1980-96 Ford trucks were some of the best built trucks ever produced. If you have any questions please email me and I will be happy to answer them. I have recorded a short video about this truck that I am trying to get uploaded to youtube and I can supply a PDF version of the vehicle history report.
