Vehicle Detail
True story! A little old lady owned this car. Has been in this town as long as anybody can remember. She parked it in the early 70's and it sat for nearly 4 decades! I acquired it 6 years ago and have gradually done work on it. New brakes, gas tank cleaned and coated, radiator refurbished, new battery, generator brushes, tailights, etc. The radio still works!! Original engine runs good, has a little lifter or tappet clack. This Belair is virtually unmolested and complete. Light surface rust in spots and a couple of pinholes in driver side floor, frame and underside is solid and in very good condition. The only reason for selling is that I'm running out of shop space. It is currently titled and registered in my name and is driven on a regular basis. This is one original classic that you can restore in your spare time and still take to cruise night. Any questions call 775 828 1730....thanksOn Aug-16-11 at 13:41:40 PDT, seller added the following information: The car has evidence of ancient bodywork. The front fenders have the typical rust out above the headlights. The photos show pink spots in the eyebrow area. This is old bondo. Driver F/fender shows surface rust where a piece of old bondo dropped out. Passenger fender will need some straightening also, nothing major and in my opinion the all the original panels are usable. The right rear quarter has some bondo spots and will need some work to be straight. The trunk has a couple small dents and a new lock and key. Glass is not perfect but usable at the moment. Windshield has wiper scratches and a couple of chips. Backglass has some scratches. Side glass, cracks seem to be the problem. Interior will need to be replaced. All trim is present and in pretty decent shape. Grill is near perfect. turn signals and headlights are not working at this time due to some shorted out wiring I found in the steering column a while back. Brake lights work fine. This car is a project and I don't want any body to think that if they buy it, it is anything but that. Please feel free to ask any questions before bidding or buying, thanks...On Aug-18-11 at 15:59:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Update...Thursday afternoon replaced all ancient ignition components. Installed new plugs. points, condensor. plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. The car runs Great!. Super smooth and sweet.....Drive it home...
