Vehicle Detail

What we have here is a 1949 Ford “shoe box” Woodie Station Wagon. The Buy It Now Price is for the car if you buy it and take it home. If you allow us to finish the car for you then you will be given a $4000 credit towards future work for a net price to you of $12,500. We should be able to finish the car for you with paint, a nice small block with air, power steering, power brakes, power windows and trans for a total investment of under $45,000. The finished car should be then be worth $50,000 t0 $60,000 Price includes a full set of glass. The glass in the car now is clear. You can choose to have a set of tinted glass installed before pick up or shipment. Price includes a full set of interior wood finished or unfinished, your choice. The tires and wheels shown do not belong to this car but will be replaced with new white wall tires with new caps and rings. The car is very complete - Missing are The Pass window frame. The rear bumper and most of the grill (grill shown does not belong to this car) and a few other small parts. We may be able to provide these items at our cost before shippment. -- The seats you see do not belong to this car. We have the number #1 and #2 seats and may even have the #3 seat. We will paint all interor parts and the exterior in single stage paint of your choice, including color sanding and buffing and wax for $5,000 more. We will make a wood kit for the car and mount it to the car for $5900 more. We will put a 10 coat finish on the wood for $2,000 more Price includes sound and heat inslation on the floor and in the doors (if wanted) All the hard and durty work has been done professionally by thetectnitions at The Woodie Garage in Orange California. Car was 100% disassembled and all parts were photograps and cataloged. The frame was in excellcont condition on this low mileage auntombiel. It was media blasted inspected for damage and one cote of etxed p;rimer applied and then two “full wet” coats of red oxside primer servicer. Then two coats of factory semi gloss black applied. (Please see photos) No work has been done on the frount or rear end until we know what the new client might want. Our plan is/was to bring the rear end up to modern standards and to install a “fat man” complete IFS stub. To upgrage the steering It happens that the '67-74 Volvo 140 Series manual steering box works very well Other items in this upgrade, such as choice of master cylinder location and rear suspension options wou8ld be address later. All work so far has been done to a very high standard. Our plan in case the car does not sell is to build and keep it for the owner or for a “shop car”. The car will be build (if wanted) with power windows, door locks, steering, air and brakes. The plan is to have it apeare to be very stock but drive and “feel” like a modern car. At this point all rust and metal work has been done as has all body work.
