2004 Jaguar Vanden Plas: NO RESERVE Low mileage Sold in AS IS condition In 2004 Jaguar offered the Vanden Plas model with the shorter wheel base. Unless you have a personal driver chauffeuring you around the shorter wheel base is better. The added legroom in the back seat is unnecessary for most grown adults. The shorter wheel base offers better turning radius (i.e. easier parking) and personally, I think the shorter wheelbase looks better. This Jaguar was an off lease purchase. I am the second owner. It's been serviced regularly. The water pump and thermostat housing assembly was recently replaced. I also paid to have a transmission leak repaired. The leak was not properly repaired, there was a slow transmission leak and the transmission burnt out. Someone that is willing to make a few repairs to this vehicle and rebuild the transmission will have a low miles Jaguar with the classic styling that the new body type fails to capture. I love this car but I'd be paying retail on the repairs and have decided that I'm just going to dump it for whatever I can get and get a new car- applying what I'd pay towards the repairs to the new car. I'm listing this Jaguar with a starting bid of $4,000 and NO RESERVE. For someone that can make the repairs you can flip the car for an excellent profit, given the lowest comparable pricing for Vanden Plas models with similar mileage on ebay or craigslist. No structural damage, only cosmetic -Two new front tires are needed-Sunroof does not work properly (currently closed with no leakage). The sunroof opens and closes but doesn't line up properly when closing.-Transmission needs a rebuild. Transmission is not operable.
