Vehicle Detail
Old Bronco needs a New Home, Clear Indiana Title $562 start is the Reserve on this No Reserve Auction. My dad had always wanted to rebuild this yet somehow almost 30 years have went by and the Bronco never left the Barn. Not exactly sure what year this is but I am sure an early Bronco buyer can tell by the pictures. Dad has a clear title in hand matching the old Bronco. When this Bronco last ran it had a rod knocking and smoked very bad. It was started and drove up on my trailer and hasn’t started since, that was in the early 80’s. It was moved from my barn to my dads barn in 1992 and was forgotten several years until digging it out recently. It is a 302 V8 with an automatic, most likely a C4 and has a 4 x 4 transfer case with Warn Lockouts on the front hubs. The body and differentials have been lifted, note several pictures to see shade tree lift kit as installed. There is a bar welded in to drop the front link down to accommodate the front diff lift. My plan was to cut it out as the welds look like they can be removed and the system reassembled as factory. I have not tried to crank it over or start it since pulling it out as we always knew it needs rebuilt. We found the left front wheel is locked up when we drug it out of the barn, most likely a brake shoe rusted in the drum. I also found the doors will not open for some reason and we had to climb through the rear window to get in to steer. Tried to open doors both from the inside hardware and the outside hardware. The bottons and handles are moving but the doors don’t open. Also the gas tank straps broke when we were dragging it out and it is hanging. Please look the pictures over real good as the Bronco is 175 miles from my home, Dad doesn't remember much and I won’t be going down to look it over to answer your questions so bid accordingly. Vehicle is 10 miles south of I-70, Exit 41 just off US 231.
