Vehicle Detail

The wife say's we need to sell our 1997 Mustang Convertible... six cars for three drivers are simply too many! I think the latest addition (2007 Corvette) put her over the top! Anyway, my son and I just completed the restoration (and slight, tasteful modifications) of this beauty. Well, we mostly acted as designer/project managers because we just made decisions and sourced parts, and ended up doing none of the work ourselves. All work was performed by licensed professionals... no "shade tree mechanic work done here! Our goal was to bring back (and improve) the appearance of this beautiful convertible, while making slight performance upgrades to improve engine breathing (better performance and fuel economy!). We believe this car was never intended to be a drag strip maniac, and it has not been treated that way. This car is, and was meant to be a "looker". It has been garage kept during and after our restoration efforts, and it never fails to get positive, glowing comments whenever and wherever we've driven it! Check out the pictures and you'll see why. Restoration work includes: • new red paint • new clear two piece headlights (not the cheap one piece types) • new NOS inside door panels (drivers and passengers side) • new Ford window and lock switches (why not replace the switches when you have the panels off, right?) • professionally re-covered sun visors • new leather "wheel skin" • black leather passenger and driver's seats from a 2003 Mustang • new lower ball joints • new rear main seal (was only leaking a drop, but didn't want oil on my garage floor!) • new brake pads (& turn rotors) • new battery • professionally detailed • current Virginia state inspection sticker Modifications: • new custom dual exhaust with turbo mufflers and polished tips • new BBK cold air intake system • new Eibach Pro Street suspension included new springs, struts, bushing and sway bars (firm, but not "track" hard. I would compare the ride and handling to a C4 Corvette I used to own) • new chrome wheels • new Sumitomo summer tires (we love the tread pattern and grip of the Sumitomo's, but if you intend to drive it year 'round in all weather, we would recommend Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires) So this is your chance to get a beautiful, clean Mustang for a fraction of the cost of restoring one yourself. To be realistic, we know there is no way we will sell the car for the many (many) thousands of dollars we've put into it; however, the experience has been a great father & son project, and the joy we received doing it, and the pride we've experienced when taking it out and seeing the "thumbs up" and hearing the many "nice car!" comments is priceless. That was our "return on investment". Bid early, bid often, then enjoy! Notes: * Deposit is required within 72 hours of auction close. * Balance due within 7 days of auction close. * Buyer is responsible for all aspects of shipping (arranging, paying, etc). * Local pickup okay. * Seller will make car available for bidder inspections with 24 hour notice. * Car is being sold "as is, where is".
