from the world class Kovach collection, this is probably the lowest vin number cobra on the market today!t500-10221........that means it is number 221 ......super low and highly sought after! Mr Kovach has been collecting 2stroke motorcycles for years, he has a keen eye, and knows the right bikes to own, he wanted this bike to be restored to the highest standard of quality, and he was very happy with the finished product, it is now ready for the vintage collector! Back in 1967 , most bikes from Japan were small or midsize, but the youth of the time wanted more!.....late in 1967 Suzuki responded with the 1968 Suzuki 500 five ,or as they called it in the UK.......the Cobra This was a milestone......a 500 cc twin that would hall you down the 1/4 mile in 14seconds flat, would go 0-60 in 6 seconds, and could go over 100 mph!, and still be reliable as a stone bridgea 5 speed transmission was new thing, the 500 came with itthis bike was so reliable, Suzuki kept it in there line for 10 model years, up with mostly just cosmetic changesthe magazines of the day, hailed it as a milestone , a technology wonder and the the first true super bike from Japan!, in stock form it produced 47 horsepower and was the fastest bike available from Japan what is unique on the 68 t500 is the 60"s styling....swede type seatchrome tank panels with knee padsvalenced fenderswide set of unbridged handlebarsside mounted horntire pumppainted speedo and tachometer rings as you can see from the detailed pics.....this is a complete resto.......correct paint color, nos parts, triple plated chrome, re zinced nuts and bolts.....new electrics, new cablescorrect vintage style tires,nos spokes and nipples, new rims,nos oil pump, nos signals etc etc the engine has been completly dimantled, crank rebuilt ( with nos suzuki crank seals).....nos pistons and rings, new pins clips and bearings, nos clutch plates, nos 1st obver pistons and rings, new gaskets...........and every thing show beaded to that eye popping look!truely a fine restoration that you will be proud to own!to you cobra collectors out there.....look at that horn.......it is the very early style i checked with shipmybike.com they can ship this bike from usa to australia for $999.00drop my friend gregg a email for additional info greg@shipmybike.combikes true mileage is shown in picturebid to own, bike is sold as is with clear title and no reserve!
