Vehicle Detail
I bought this car about 8 years ago with 91,000 on her (nickname the horse) from a doctor in New Jersey. The first owner paid $57,000 for her. It was very limited production (around 4000 cars built). I added 100,000 miles of completely trouble free highway miles, usually 3-12 hours trips at 75 mph (that's her sweet spot) from NY to many places between CT and IN. I'm really into my cars and always changed the oil, brake pads, air filter, sparks, tires to keep everything going just right. Anyway, there's a huge difference from the popular 300E and the 400E. The many layers of paint and V8 engine and added weight make it seem like you are in luxury car. Cruise control works perfectly and all the buttons that move the seats work just right. The A/C is cold and strong. It has a very attractive body, exterior is in good shape (especially for 20 years old). The is no rust anywhere. All the wheel wells are clean. The interior is in the same good condition, leather seats, quite and comfortable for 4 people. The pictures speak for themselves. I didn't take a picture of the trunk because its loaded with my kids stuff, however no rust very clean, light works has a spare and tools. All 4 tires are in great shape. The grill looks real clean, and the windshield and a/c have been fixed in the last year. There little things that I forget about time to time; the rear back window doesn't go down. Sometimes the radio front left speakers for off until you hit a bump in the road. The engine is very clean and doesn't burn oil. The transmission is very smooth and fluids are changed every 50,000. The ride is very straight, doesn't pull, solid, tight on the road and very fast on highway roads. It is time to replace the spark plug wires, rotor and distributor caps. My mechanic says the engine is solid with nothing to do but change the oil. I have all the bills, mostly little things, repair exhaust, new struts last year etc. Its hard to let a car go for so little money (because the quality is so much better then any other car) and many 400E's on ebay over the last 2 years have put on a good 300,000 miles. My suggestion, give her a tune up and drive it for another 100,000 miles (in style). She has been babied the whole time I had her and with general care she'll go strong for many years. Any questions call Jeff @ 845 557 8133. The car will be sold "as is" and I'll do my best to get it to where you live.
