Guys, what a find here! 1969 Cougar Eliminator, verified by Marti Report. California rust free survivor. Look at the pictures! The way the original Competition Orange paint has aged over the last 42 years is amazing! We acquired this beauty 5 years ago. Has been in climate controlled storage since. Previous owner did some modifications to the engine. He saved alot of original parts, that will go with the car. See the pictures. Power steering pump, hoses and brackets, the original air cleaner with the hard to find baffle, original valve covers, a rebuilt carb that appears to be the original, the original intake and exhaust manifolds, an assortment of new weatherstripping and gaskets, the rear view mirror, and more. The factory a/c system is missing. We also have the original dash plaque with clock, that goes above the glove compartment. This killer example of late sixtie's muscle is sitting here waiting for a well deserved restoration! Of the 2250 Eliminators built in 1969, only 514 were Competition orange. To find one of these in this condition, with the original parts is nothing short of spectacular! Did you see those twelve slot Argent wheels? Center caps are there, but the trim rings are missing. Sold new in Bakersfield, California 06/20/1969. Verified still in California through 2000 by the Cougar Registry. It would be very cool to see this gorgeous survivor end up back on the west coast! The car starts right up, with a jump box, but will not stay running without it. Probably has a shot alternator. It sounds just great. Drives down the road nicer than you would ever believe.
