This is a heavy-duty truck, a strong driver, the same truck that's driven hard everyday on safari in Africa. Plenty of these are still thundering down the dirt roads of New Zealand. But here in the US, they are getting rarer every year. Land Rover only brought in a few Defender-90s to begin with, starting in 1994, then stopped completely after 1997 when the government tried to make them redesign the bumper. Land Rover said, "It's not happening." Ever since then, there are fewer of these trucks around. Just drive down the street in your neighborhood in a Defender 90, and you'll see people point and wave. Take the truck over to the Home Depot and when you come out, there are 2-3 guys waiting to ask you about it, what it's like to own one. I drive this truck to work everyday, and it's really something special. A Defender 90 is narrow and sits up high, it corners nicely and can drive over rocks, up steep hills and through streams (see their commercials on YouTube). It's great in the snow and at the beach. But now, I'm ready to sell it, ready to pass it along to the next owner. I just put on 4 new tires and shocks, and I keep it running well. The engine is solid. The frame of the truck is aluminum, but the roll bars and bumper are steel, and there's a little rust around the edges. But nothing major, the truck starts right up and takes you where you need to go, and looks good doing it. That's not to say that it won't need something at some point. In fact, what it could really use is an owner who wants to take good care of it, maybe even restore it to it's original brand-new condition. This truck already turns heads, but that would be something to see.
