I am a court appointed liquidation agent for the US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. This motorcycle is an asset in an individual bankruptcy case. The case number is 10-5377 SAH Chapter 7. I have been retained by the Trustee in the case to liquidate the motorcycle free and clear of all liens, mortgages and encubrances via a Notice of Intent to Sell filed with the Court on 6/7/11. Now that we have that cleared up let me tell you all I know about the bike. I personally recovered the bike from an older gentleman who provided a written statement verifying that he had purchased the bike back in 2004 and shortly afterward had the motor completely rebuilt. He further stated that the bike has only been driven approx. 100 miles since that time. The current odometer reading of 15,330 is believed to be accurate. The tag has been kept current and the bike has apparently been garage kept and started and run on a regular basis to keep fresh fuel running throught the carb, etc. I am not a motorcycle expert but have some experience with them and have been very impressed with the overall condition of this classic 1969 Triumph TR6R 650. We transported the bike via trailer back to our facility, checked the fuel which smelled fresh, turned it on, kicked it over twice and it started right up. We let it warm up a bit and soon was idling very smooth so I got on and rode up and down the street a few times. Everything seemed to work just fine, gears, clutch, brakes, etc. As for flaws with the bike there are a few very minor paint chips and scratches the most noticeable of which is on the front fender. Overall the paint and trim is in great shape. I would guess the bike has been restored in the past because the condition of the chrome, cables, etc. is very good. Also, the right front rubber shock boot needs to be replaced as it is cracked in a couple of places. The front forks seems a bit loose at the handle bars but looks like it could be tighted pretty easily. You can see from the photos that a windshield has been installed which obviously is not an original component but it is in good shape and will keep the wind and bugs away. It could easily be removed if you want the bike to look all original. The tires look good with plenty of wear left but are not brand new. Serial numbers on the frame and motor match which I understand is a really good thing. The seat is in excellent condition with no tears or cracks observed. That's pretty much all I know about this bike. Based on the small amount of research I have done since recovering it the bike is in good to very good condition when compared to other TR6s of the same year. I will be happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Obviously, we are selling the bike "as-is-where-is" with no warranty other than clear title. A non-refundable $500.00 deposit will be required within 48 hrs. after the auction end. Balance will be due within 7 days in cash or cashiers check when bike is picked up. The buyer will need to make their own arrangements for picking up the bike here in Oklahoma or shipping elsewhere. All buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title service fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. Buyers inspections are welcomed but make sure you inspect the motorcycle prior to the auction ending. Inspection fees are the buyers responsibility.
