Vehicle Detail

With only 3,000 miles since restoration, this 1970 Dodge Challenger has everything the MOPAR enthusiast could want. An R/T clone, this car features a very straight and solid body that is covered with beautiful Plum Crazy paint with white side stripes. The paint has been color sanded and buffed to a great shine. Coupled with an R/T hood, a T/A spoiler, and a dual exhaust exiting an R/T rear valance, this car has the look. The new white power convertible top operates smoothly and has the optional rear glass window, not the plastic window. A great looking set of TQ polished wheels dressed with new BF Goodrich white letter Radial TA tires (P235/60R15 front, P285/60R16 rear) help to give the car just the right stance. The interior is all factory. Done in white vinyl, the white bucket seats really provide a touch of class. It is equiped with the factory Hurst pistol grip shifter. The entire interior was treated to a layer of Dynamat to the floors, firewall, and trunk. This helps to provide a quiter and cooler ride. And, if its great looks weren't enough, the car is powered by a custome built 440 V8. The motor is fitted with a factory Holley Six Pack intake and carburation system that provides plenty of fuel. It has high clearance aluminum valve covers and an aluminum air cleaner. It has electronic ignition and a set of March pulleys. The exhaust flows through ceramic headers and Flowmaster mufflers which provide great sound. The car has been dyno tested and produces 464 HP and 633 pounds of torque at the rear wheels. The engine is connected to a factory 4 speed manual transmission and the factory rear-end with 3:91 gears. To help handle all the power, the frame has been reinforced with sub-frame connectors. The car also features power steering, power brakes with disc up front. This is one great looking classic American Muscle car. This car is a great driver and it always gets lots of looks at local car rallys. I bought this car in Arlington, Texas and drove it back up route 66 to the Chicago area, a 1,000 mile trip with absolutely no worries. It's been a very fun and reliable car since.
