I had this bike listed a while back - it did not meet my reserve. The reserve has been dropped - it needs a new home!! For auction is this 1971 Honda CT70. It is a Trail 70 H model with a manufactures date of 2/71. Frame and engine numbers match. The bike starts and runs - it goes through all 4 gears fine. Starts first kick and sounds good. The fella we got the bike from had just rebuilt the engine. There are some new parts on the bike - the tires are new, the exhaust pipe and muffler are new ( however, the baffle is missing out of the muffler ) and the left engine side cover is new. The handle bars are straight and the black plastic knobs work properly ( when unscrewed, you can lower the handlebars to the sides of the bike ). The seat is broken and needs to be replaced. The chain guard looks like a new one. The headlight bucket is broken ( the damage can be seen in one of the photos ) and I could only get the headlight to work on low beam. The front fender is scraped on the front left edge and there are some small dents on the top of the fender. The rear fender is dented on the back edge. The original paint on the body has scratches. The taillight works and the mounting housing is in good condition. The fork stop on the front forks has been broken off. There is no title with the bike, but I will provide a bill of sale. Sold as-is. Buyer is responsible for the cost and arranging of shipping. Either pick the bike up yourself, or arrange to have it hauled.
