Vehicle Detail
65 Fastback all original 6 cylinder car. Most parts are the actual parts the car came with. The paint is about a year old. I stripped it to the metal prior to painting it original Wimbledon White urethane, there was NO RUST!!!!... The only rust on the entire car is in the inside bottom of the doors. It is a daily driver and is currently registered. It is dependable and fun to drive. I have made a few trips to Zion Canyon, some scenic back roads and freeway trips. The wheels and tires are 18" tuner style attached via a bolt on spacer. The lug pattern is 4 on 41/2 the factory wheels have good tires as well and the hubcaps are in good condition. This car is not perfect, It's a Daily Driver. It needs new weatherstripping pretty much all around, there is pitting on the interior chrome parts and there are a few small dings and scratches.... try as I may, there are too many hazards out there to keep it perfect. The following is what I know about the car: Built in February 1965 Factory A/C Fully undercoated (even the bottom of the hood.... fire wall, trunk (see pics of untouched trunk) and wheel wells. Automatic transmission (shifts smooth and engages firmly) Third owner (previously not registered for over 12 years) I have the original owners manual with selling dealers signature (Warren Wooten Ford in Cocoa Florida) Spent last 30 + years in Southern California and Southern Utah I have replaced only a few of the original parts with new aftermarket parts as follows: Dash Cover, Seat Covers, A/C line, Fuel Pump, Water Pump. Brake shoes and internal brake parts (Work Great) Radiator, Headliner, Badges (outside) Door Panels (Inside) 18" tires and Wheels ( I have 5 factory wheels, 4 hubcaps) Wimbledon White paint (original ford color) paint Nearly every other part is original to the car, as in it was built with it. There is some pitting and surface rust on some of the parts (door handles, shift knob, blinker switch etc) When new, the entire car was undercoated even under the hood. The extensive undercoating worked exactly as it was intended to. The car is virtually RUST FREE. The undercoating is peeling in places, I have not scraped it all off only in a few places rather than remove and repaint it. You can see that it is as it has been since purchased new. This is a rare opportunity: A great platform for a resto-mod, or make it a factory original documented car. I have owned it for about 3 years. My first desire was to do a full frame off resto mod with a 302 HO, 9 inch rear 4 speed auto trans and updated suspension and steering components. The more I learned about the car, the more I realized how clean and complete it was. It has a great history, and is well on it's way to its original greatness. I will happily answer any questions you have through ebay or call me at 435-229-6625. The car is in St. George, UT. You can buy it and drive it anywhere. I can arrange transportation from the Las Vegas airport (about 100 miles away). I can also deliver this to anywhere in the US or western Canada for CHEAP. Give me your zip and I will give you a shipping quote. I can also arrange shipping to other countries. Good Luck. You will LOVE this car.
