1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Actual Picture of Vehicle Many more pictures of the vehicles below DESCRIPTION =========== This auction is for a 1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. The story on this T-Bird is as follow, an older lady bought this car new and used it as her car for many years. Around 1983 she registered it for the last time and had it parked in the garage for many years. After she passed on the car was parked on the side of the house and then came into my friends posession. As for the car itself, although it does need restoration, this is NOT one of those crazy resotration projects right off the bat. This car can in theory be put right on the road once it is checked over thoroughly. The engine starts and the car shifts into gear. The top was tested and goes up and down as it is supposed to. As you will see from the pictures, the body is straight, with no accidents, the chome is in excellent shape with almost no pitting that I was able to find, the interior, although needs to be cleaned up a bit, is all there, the front drivers seat has a seat that came apart but as you see in the pics the interior is all there and in excellent shape. The floors seem pretty good, the drivers side has sheet metal covering a hole under the carpet, which is the only hole I found on the car floor. The doors do not sag and open and close properly. The locks turn with ease and correctly. As stated before, there should be no reason why this couldn't be put right on the road asfter careful inspection of course. As for the rest of the car, it has a nicely running 390 cu in. 4/V engine, the C/6 Automatic Transmissoin, Power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seats, full gague cluster, A/C (may need charge or repair, not tested). The top is in fair shape and needs a new back window but funcitons properly.
