Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1984 Buick Regal T-Type Turbo V-6 that my wife and I bought new in March of 1984. The car has been stored in a dry garage since 2004 and only driven a few times since than. I would like to keep the car but we are moving and realize that the time has come for someone else to enjoy it as much as we have. When we bought the car I worked for the local Buick dealer and have pictures of the car being unloaded off the car carrier. The paint was scratched on the LF roof area and the hood which was repainted before the car was delivered. This is the only body work ever done and shows now some 27 years later as you can see in the photos. There is a small crease in the front of the right door when it was opened against our garage post but not noticable enough to redo. The underside has some surface rust and looks to have some rust through under the drivers floor pan as shown in the photos. The rest of of the body has some chips and mars that you would find after 27 years of use but all in all in decent shape. The wheels have some discoloring but again in decent shape. The V-6 turbocharged engine is original having no work done and runs strong. The transmission was replaced with a GM rebuilt sometime around the year 2000 by the local dealer. It has the orignal rear axle. The exhaust system was replaced in 1992 with stainless steel at a cost of over $700 back than. I have done all the maintenance myself in regard to oil changes, tune ups, fluid changes, brake jobs and so on, The interior is original with the left seat torn as shown. The rest of the interior is very nice. We ordered the car with the bench seat because I was not fond of the bucket seats at the time. I've never seen another like it. The car has the digital dash, AC, power windows, tilt, cassette radio. power drivers seat, remote right mirror and carpeted trunk with a rear deck release. The car also has the WH1 option which included two tone silver and black paint and the the rear spoiler. This car is a true surviver thats not perfect but still shows very well. I know its entire history so feel free to call and discuss it at 608-698-8202. Please do not ask to end the auction early as I want to be fair to all the bidders. Please send a $500 down payment within three days of auction end. I accept Pay Pal ( down payment only), cash, or a verifiable certified check. Thank You . On Jul-21-11 at 10:27:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I would like to add that I have found all the original paper work for the car including the original owners manual in the original plastic wrap, warranty info, 3 copies of the original invoice, two pictures of the car being unloaded off the car carrier, the original pre delivery inspection report, a brochure for 1984 Buicks, plastic wrap and tags off the car, and so on. Its interesting that since I worked for the dealership the original invoice is in my hand writing. I have a slip from the sales manager that my car was shipped on February 15, 1984. I even have a warranty card with peel off ID stickers that were never used. You may have noticed that the coil pack on the engine is missing its computor controled ignition plate. Thats because it was replaced. I still have the original and the plate. I have pictures of these items and more of the car but E-Bay will not let me delete some I have and add more. If you want to see more just let me know your e-mail and I will send more. Thanks
