Originally a 3 speed auto 289 car, the stock motor has been replaced by a mild 351 w, producing roughly 350 hp and 350 tq. The motor features stock heads, Edelbrock performer rpm intake, an Edelbrock 650 carb with electric choke and a mild cam. The transmission has been upgraded to a T-5 with a Hurst short throw shifter that is topped with a Hurst T-handle. When I bought the car it had an old light duty 9 inch rear which I upgraded to a heavy duty 9 inch from Currie Enterprises that has a 31-spline limited slip differential, 31-spline 9+ axles, 3.90 gear, and a Currie Heavy Duty housing. This rear end is solid and will withstand more than the current motor could ever throw at it. The gear ratios in the transmission and the rear match up perfectly for driving around town and highway duty. The revs sit at about 2200 when your at 65mph. This car has several other desirable upgrades including full subframe connectors which make the chassis much more stable and reduce the amount of flex through the body. There is also an autometer sportcomp II tach and shift light mounted by the shifter. Rating Paint- 9/10- Car was painted four years ago by a previous owner and he did an excellent job, this car has NO orange peel at all and is incredible in the sun light. However it is a four year old paint job so there are minor blemishes. You won't find a better looking paint job unless they just finished it. Motor-10/10- Motor has always run perfect, requires a touch of gas when starting cold but idles and runs great at all times. Transmission- 10/10- Trans is in great shape housing still looks new, never had any gears grinding on problems shifting, always smooth and quick. Clutch has a quick engagement, feels like a mild race clutch but I'm not positive on what it is exactly. Rear- 10/10- Brand new built rear, just finishing the break in. Its perfect. I consider these to be the most important criteria when looking at a car, other than this its a rust free, car that I would say is immaculate. Definitely the nicest mustang I've ever owned or driven and I've spent most my life around these cars. Here is a link to video of the car, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5jOUj-jNlg Questions or comments? Ask away I'll do my best to respond quickly and get you all the information you need.
