This truck is a once in a lifetime opportunity due to the paperwork that comes with it and the original running condition of the truck. This is a 1953 Chevrolet truck that is solid as rock. It was bought on June 13, 1953, as shown on the ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER, for the amount of $1,292.50. How often have you seen this on a 1953 model vehicle??? Not only do I have the original window sticker from Bailey Chevrolet, in Cabot Arkansas (the dealer has since closed it doors), I have the ORIGINAL TITLE that was issued on July 9, 1953, and the cancelled check stub from the bank of Cabot showing the original owner put down $500 to buy the vehicle. All of these are shown in the photographs. The truck is very solid and the engine sounds great. The transmission shifts good, but the clutch chatters a little when letting out on it for first gear or reverse. All the gauges work, the horn works, and she runs down the road fair. The tires need replaced to drive it very far. The truck obviously has surface rust, but the only rust through is in the cab corners. The person I got it from had the seat recovered, painted the inside of the rear part of the cab, and sanded/painted the heater. He also painted around the rear window in blue to see what it would look like in that color. I think that would be nuts, as the window sticker shows it to be originally black, and that is what it should go back to. He also replaced the front floor pans, so they are in great shape. The truck had been sitting under a shed in Cabot Arkansas for years. To get it running again, it's had the brakes worked on, new exhaust, carb adjusted, new plugs, and the gas tank was taken off, flushed, cleaned, and reinstalled. All the hardware is there for the truck (passenger door window, cranks, etc). A long time ago, the original owner took out the wood bed and put in steel; they did a nice job. This truck is one heck of an opportunity. The pictures show everything, but please feel free to call me it you have any questions.
