Vehicle Detail
1974 Chevelle Malibu Green/White You are bidding on a 74 Chevelle 2 Door HT A Real Survivor RUST FREE THIS CAR RUNS LIKE A DREAM!! Original one owner Chevelle! It was purchased brand new at the Chevrolet Garage in the western part of Nebraska. When I purchased this 74, it was Harold’s Mothers car. She brought it brand new and this Chevelle was always kept in the garage. You hear about cars that are just driven to church on Sunday mornings, you can believe this is one of those that was only on the road on Sunday’s. I have all paper work, for example the hand book, the maintance schedule, the warranty, the original sticker, the emission control sticker. I have the actual ordering sheet! Plus the vehicle inspection sheet, all of these are from the Chevrolet Dealership that it was purchased brand new in 1974. I traveled for a living and I knew about this car for the last 25-years. I knew the family since the 70’s, they were farmers. They were customers of mine and every year when I visited their farm I saw the Chevelle sitting in the garage. I am more than positive that this has only 18,000 actual miles. I have personally had it in my own collection since 2001. I had the car repainted in 2007 to the factory color and spent over $5,500.00. It has 4 coats of clear and the best paint you can buy on it. The reason why I repainted it was it had a few nicks from the original owner; I wanted to bring it to show quality, because the car had so much history. Plus I had the engine completely painted to factory color, the engine compartment completely detailed out and sandblasted; in addition the undercarriage was sandblasted and painted. Current Condition Interior, Glass and Body: Please look closely at the pictures of all the original bumpers, grill, stainless steel, the trunk compartment, tail lights, windshield, rear window and side windows, hubcaps and all the original stickers; can you imagine that this is all ORIGINAL! The interior is immaculate including the headliner, seats, the dash and instrument panel, the carpet, the door panels, and the GM Plates. From 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest I rate this as a number 9. Also look at the trunk compartment pictures you will see the original factory paint in the trunk with the original sticker on the trunk lid plus the original carpet is like new. I do not believe the spare tire assembly has been taken apart. All original stickers are also underneath the hood. I feel that this 74 is the only 74 in the United States that is RUST FREE! I feel the reason why, this Chevelle was always in a garage all its life. From information given to me by the original owner this car has never been driven in rain or snow. The body is as straight as an arrow. The car is 100% complete and no altering. Radio actually works! It has never been smoked in, look at the ashtray!! The white vinyl top is original and is like brand new! The original invoice options lists from the Chevrolet factory: The total cost of this Chevelle was $4,631.45 when it was purchased brand new. When Alice passed away I kept on doing business with the family, after 25 years of talking to Harold, I finally convinced him that I would take good care of his Mom’s car and he relented and sold it to me. Who ever purchases this car I hope you enjoy this Chevelle as much as I have. The only reason I am selling this great 74 is because I going to semi retire in Florida. Remember you are bidding on an original Chevelle, one owner with LOW MILES and RUST FREE! I have over 50 pictures for your review.
