Up for auction is my 1978 Datsun 280z. I am the third owner of this vehicle which has been garaged and well taken care of before my ownership and since then. It has the Nissan straight 6 cylinder 2.8 liter motor which runs very well, burns little to no oil and still feels solid when driving. The 5-speed transmission was rebuilt less than 5,000 miles ago; no crunching between gears, also feels solid. There have been a few upgrades and replacements since I purchased the car: new fuel injectorsnew rear half shafts poly urethane suspension bushings Grant z car steering wheel 14 inch Panasport wheels front headlight clear corners K&N intake Kenwood cd player, 8 Solo-Baric sub woofer, alpine speakers and pioneer amp.Front adjustable strut tower brace Long tube header and mandrel bent 2 3/4 exhaust New radiatorZ style floor mats Miscellaneous improvements and mods Areas for improvement: Air conditioning does not work at the moment, underside of hood has area that needs to be re sprayed. There are several minor rust spots as shown in the pictures...spots that this car has always been known for having rust. A specific spot is at the bottom of the rear hatch Original dash has one crack also shown in picture. There is a cover on the dash at the moment to prevent further damage although it sits in the garage. Body has a few tiny door dings, typical of a 30 year old car, nothing to noticeable. Panels and fit and finish all look good though. Overall the car is in good condition. The interior is nice, motor is strong and it runs like a train. I have another transmission (pulled from another 280) that I was going to provide as a replacement to mechanic but went with rebuild. I have original spare tire. I have a leather bra for the front of the car and I have a stack of documents and receipts from previous owner that I will upload pictures of.
