Here for sale is a 1963 Thunderbird convertible with a powerful V-8 390ci 4 barrel carb. Body has just over 62,800 miles on it however this owner went an extra step and had the motor completely rebuilt from the bottom up and the motor now has just over 600 miles on it. I have pictures to show how it is stored (in a heated garage at 65 degrees all winter long covered) an the owner starts all his toys every 2 weeks during the winter and in the summer toys go for a 5 mile ride each month. I am representing this car for the owner, he is selling this due to wife insists he has to many toys and he has to get rid of 1 of them and this is what he decided on. Owner has owned this car since 1981 and only body work he did was to repair the pass rear quarter it minor rust and dent in it. If you look at the pics I took on that side you will see he didn't quite mold it into the lower cowl like he should have.(only spot on whole car no other place had even a small amount of rust. All lower door panels are solid all electric windows & steering work great. I drove the car today and it was really a nice ride and great day for it. I haven't driven a car with drum breaks for way to many years, however they work very good but I feel they need adjusting just a bit, and he said they are only 4 years old. I wasn't use to them and just felt I should mention they didn't work as good as my ABS on my Lexus but they did work and stopped the car. I also took pics of the car in the garage and after we pulled it out(no oil spots anywhere) no smoke except a very small amount until it warmed up and car started up right away. This is a beauty and would be a great addition to anyone’s garage to brag about. I took a total of 78 pictures of the car and underneath of the car and even that was very clean. Car was rustproofed right after the restoration was completed. Electric top works flawlessly and does have the cover boot (metal) to cover over space when truck goes down. I have included pictures of the Conv top to show you the flaws it has and the owner patched it up 6 yrs ago and there are no leaks. However the owner had me order a new custom WHITE top for this car however it's just over $600.00 for installation for it and owner says new owner can have it installed themself. New parts just installed prior to listing are: 1) All oils changed:Engine,transmission,rear diff. 2) New coolant 3) New master Cylinder 4) Both front wheel cylinders replaced: that's why I say a little adjustment needs done 5) New front brakes 6) New Water pump 7) New tires 8) Brand new White Convertible top with 2 new cushions new owner will have to install this or have it installed plastic window on car now will be used with new top since window is still like new very clear no problems with it). I can have it done it's $635.00 with tax must be paid for prior to making appointment. This car is fully optioned with heater, power steering, power window and power convertible top, correct and original 390 cu in V-8 powered, Cruise-O-Matic Transmission,also this car has glass packs on the exhaust this T-Bird has the sliding steering wheel to make an easy exit or entering of the driver. All electronics work great! This car is in pretty good condition for being 48yrs young, I realize that it needs some restro work done to make it show quality and I am open to reasonable offers .
