Vehicle Detail
This is a solid car as far as the body is concerned. It has one paint job that is cracking. I will guarantee you will not find any major rust on this car. No holes or signs of body work . Welds or body fillers. It has one small dent in the passenger side front fender about 5 inches long and an eigth of an inch deep. It is a numbers matching car with overdrive. It has a 3.4 litre 2 carb setup. The head has been machined. The original motor is taken apart for rebuild. I put a 3.8 liter triple carburetor engine in it (2 inch SU's) and was starting a rebuild on the other. The engine in it is the 265 HP Gold head out of a 64 sedan Chevrolet conversion. Same as the E-Types. I was told from the seller that it had 60,000 miles on it.The engine will fire and the carbs pump up and do not leak. This car would be a good candidate for a frame off restoration or a racer. The slave cylinder is missing the piston and kit. The brakes need a master cylinder kit. It needs a fuel pump and the gas tank flushed. The car has been sitting for years. It needs a windshield and rubber kit.The seat is in good condition. No carpet or door panels. This car needs a lot of work and is definitely worth fixing. A thousand dollars would get it going easily. The back bumper and bumper brackets are missing. There is a site where you can get the windshield , all the rubbers, slavecylinder, master cylinder kit(brakes), And the fuel pump. The cost would be less than $1500.00.(XK's Unlimited). The side glasses for the doors are scratched and missing the metal track at the bottom for the rollup mechanism.I am totally honest and wish to be completely honest. The back glass looks good and needs the rubber too. I have the 2 chrome pieces for the windshield posts. The hood chrome and windshield chrome are missing. The back glass chrome trim is also missing. The original engine is included of course. I bought this car from a seller on ebay who essentially was not honest. I expect to lose money on it. I'm selling it to pay my mothers medical bills.I have an old title from Miami Florida but I didn't recieve a bill of sale from the seller in California and he will not talk to me about it. In Alabama it is not a title state for years prior to 1974. I will do everything possible to get the buyer a bill of sale that is current from me.I am open to any discussion. The car was sold to me as a restoration but turned out to be missing many parts that I have since purchased.Of course the front end needs work too.I've decided to quit on it and let someone else finish it. I need the money worse at this point. I love this car.I hate to part with it. I'm offering it for sell. If we can work out a deal I will help with the transport. It shouldn't be over $2000.00 cross country. This car has never seen road salt. It has been ziebarted. Which is a spray tar undercoat. On the title the original owner passed and his surviving widow signed the title dated 1986. Serious inquiries only please.I have told you everything you will need.It is still alot of nice car here. I have more pictures at rerquest.Thank you for your interest.Feel free to contact me about any topic.
