A great escape from high gas prices: 40--45mpg! This 2002 Jetta TDI with 144k highway miles has been carefully maintained with dealership service at 10,000 mile intervals, exclusively synthetic oil changes, and major service completed on the timing belt and water pump at 76k, and front suspension mounts at 120k as well as a new battery at 140k. I am the second owner of this car (eBay motors purchase in 2010), and am selling it only because I'm transferring back to Canada for work. This car has an upgraded Monsoon sound system, a sunroof, and professionally tinted windows. The car has no mechanical issues: engine, transmission, and brakes are all in great working order and there are no warning lights indicated. The tires have half their tread remaining. The exterior and interior of the car has some normal wear and tear for a used vehicle of this age, but it has been cosmetically maintained to a very high standard with regular cleaning, detailing and covered parking - it looks like a newer model. There is no rust on the car. There are a couple of very small indentations on the driver door panel (too small to be visible in the picture), as well as a few touched-up stone marks on the front of the hood, and a couple of very small marks that still require touch-up paint. Additionally, the switch for the turn signal makes a few extra clicks after each turn (in either direction). This switch can be changed, but at a repair cost of a couple hundred dollars I was never bothered enough by the sound to have this done, and it has no impact on the proper working of the indicator lights. The reserve price of this car is lower than the "Buy It Now Price". I just wanted to provide the opportunity for someone to buy it outright should they not want to let it go.
