Vehicle Detail

This is truly an exceptional truck...original, rare equipment, rust free & super low miles. Offered without reserve is my 1969 GMC 2500 2-wheel drive Pick Up. This truck has 59,900 original miles and was sold new in Glenwood Springs, Colorado at Lincicome Motor Company. The truck was specially ordered by it's original owner for extreme low end torque and pulling power. It features a super-rare V-6 motor (either 305 c.i., or 325 c.i....look at the photo of the original build sheet and decide which is correct). Additionally, it was ordered with a 4.56 rear axle ratio, a heavy duty clutch, heavy duty suspension, and a heavy duty cooling system. The truck has spent it's entire life in the Eagle-Vail Valley of Colorado, or Telluride, Colorado. It is an authentic Colorado ranch/mountain truck. In addition to low original miles, the truck also has original paint, and is as rust-free as any 1969 vehicle could be. The interior, which is also original, is absolutely immaculate, and the dash is crack free, as it has been covered from new. The original documentation includes the factory build sheet, the original owner's manual, the protect-o-plate, a copy of the prior owner's title with 40,360 actual miles noted in June of 2003, and the original "Auto Owner's Maintenance Folio" provided by GMC. Recent maintenance includes new plugs and points, new oil and filter, new valve cover gaskets, and new windshield wiper blades. I recently drove the truck more than 200 miles, with no issues. Everything works, including the electric windshield washer. The truck is currently fitted with the original radio delete plate, but will also come with an original 1969 GMC AM radio (uninstalled). It has a 16" set of radial tires (not new, but too good to replace) and the original wheels and hubcaps. In the spirit of complete disclosure, I repainted the wheels and hubcaps. The paint is original, but thin in places and pretty-well worn through on the hood and top. It still shines up pretty well, but if not maintained, it will fade to a soft patina. The truck does not have power steering, and, as noted above, has a close-ratio rear end and a heavy duty clutch. Although it is definitely not a truck for the faint of heart, it drives exceptionally well, has no rattles, and does not over-heat. It cruises comfortably down the highway at 60 mph, and can be driven faster. It pulls strongly in 4th gear from about 20 mph. It will accelerate up Dallas Divide (a long uphill stretch @ about 9,000 ft above sea level... just outside of Telluride) in 4th gear. No downshifting needed!!! The truck does not smoke and does not burn oil. Because it is "only original once", I have chosen not to address the paint issues noted above. A quality paint job would put this truck on par with the very best. Thanks & enjoy the pictures. On Jun-27-11 at 07:25:34 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been informed that the engine is a 305 ci V-6.
