1987 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1/2 TON 4X4 SHORTBED LOADED I have been searching for a loaded shortbed for about a year. I finally found this one and it was just what I was looking for , except I really wanted a stepside. Well , two days after I bought it , I found a stepside , so one of them has to go. These are becoming very desirable and collectible. I see them sell for over $10,000 after restored. Believe me , this is far from 10 grand , but it is a complete , running , loaded , shortbed with Silverado package. It is a former New Jersey township vehicle. This means it was well maintained , but Jersey winters and road salt are tough on sheet metal. The good news is everything is available and not very expensive. See pictures for the worst of the rust. Floors and bed appear to be solid. Frame has surface rust and scale , but I have not found any holes. Engine starts right up and does NOT smoke or make any "funny" noises. I drove it up on my ramp truck in 4 wheel low , because it needs brake work. Trans went right in gear and transfer case shifted without any problems. I am only selling it to buy a 1987 Stepside Silverado. I just need to get rid of it , so I don't miss out on the other truck. NO RESERVE AUCTION. I can assist in local shipping only.
