It runs great, drives great, looks great, and the attention it gets is extreme! No Disappointments: This Fastback is a great investment and a fun car to drive and enjoy. From the engine compartment to the trunk and everywhere in between, this is a clean car. The following will be a description of each area of the car, being as in-depth and accurate as possible. Please keep in mind that this is a classic car that is over 43 years old, and although I will describe everything as best I can, some small items may have been overlooked. BODY: As you can see from the photos, this Mustang has an absolute gorgeous body. It’s also rock solid, with no evidence of rust ANYWHERE! The underside is also solid and original California sheet metal, with great frame rails, perfect torque boxes and floor pans. The car was repainted black almost 13 years ago. The paint was then professionally buffed to a high gloss and looks great! As expected, there are a few minor chips that have been touched up. The underside is in excellent condition, and I could not detect any rust at all. All of the body panels are original and rust free. The doors, trunk and hood all open and shut properly, and all of the glass is good. The rear glass has scratches and should be replaced for show quality. INTERIOR: The interior in great shape. The seat upholstery is starting to crack and separate, and should be replaced. All of the gauges and lights work as they should. The following new components: · New Carpet and Kick Panels · New Wood Steering Wheel· New Dash Pad· New Door Panels· New Headliner · New Instrument Cluster ENGINE / MECHANICS: · The car starts at the flick of the key and runs strong and smooth. This fastback now sports a 335 HP 351 Cleveland engine with a C-6 automatic transmission. The mileage odometer shows 15,083 which could be 115,083 because of the excess odometer limits. The engine is very powerful and runs smooth. The car tracks straight and brakes straight, has good steering response and a nice ride. The C-6 Transmission shifts very responsive and smooth. The engine compartment is very clean, highly detailed and maintains its original appearance right down to the cadmium-plated bolts. Front drum brakes and rear drum brakes. The suspension sports a very comfortable ride and is responsive to the touch. The exhaust has a nice low throaty sound. The car runs and drives fantastic. TRUNK: The trunk area is very clean, detailed, and looks like new. There is not even a hint of rust. A new trunk mat. Of course, all bolts are cadmium plated. No issues here, the pictures of the car speak for themselves. OVERALL: The car of course gets lots of looks, it's really what I'd call the perfect collector car: a super desirable Fastback that needs nothing, and runs fantastic. If you are looking for a well maintained, rust free original body panel and undercarriage Fastback, then this car is for you. Again, the restoration is over 13 years old, showing minor wear and imperfections. The car should be considered a perfect weekend warrior or a local car show.
