Vehicle Detail
1968 Ford Mustang Convertible High Performance 6 Cylinder This automatic 200 ci 6 cylinder has been modified with headers, cams, and Weber carburetor (parts removed are included to take back to original if desired). The engine has been dressed in chrome as shown in photo’s. Also added was a dual exhaust that gives it a nice subtle rumble. The vehicle comes equipped with power top and power steering, center console, turn signal hood, remote control drivers side mirror and after market CD player with speakers tastefully done in the front and rear. Interior is white and black and in great condition with no rips or tears. The white power top goes up and down as it should. Dash and dash pad in great condition as well. Odometer shows 23,000 miles (can’t verify original). All gauges, lights, wipers, horns and signals (including hood) in good working order. There is an after market oil gauge below the dash. Vehicle has good get up and go and stops as it should with the drum brakes. The power steering works great, can be turned with one finger. Glass in good condition with no chips or scratches, windows go up and down smoothly. Tires are newer with a lot of good miles ahead. Exterior paint shows good, 10 footer. All body panels straight and smooth. Doors line up and open/close with ease. Vehicle had incorrect pin striping that was removed. Unfortunately, a pencil thin line of paint came off with it on drivers door (see photo). Chrome is shiny and looks good, with pop open gas cap as well. Vehicle was garage stored by previous owner. However, it was purchased from Pennsylvania, therefore the undercarriage needs some attention as shown in photo’s. All work was done under the ownership of previous owner. Front passenger floor pan patched. Driver’s side front and rear floor pans patched. Driver’s side frame rail replaced. Other 3 frame rails in good condition. Passenger rear inner fender well has small hole. There is a small hole in the driver’s side trunk floor. Undercarriage was undercoated but could still use a good cleaning. Gas tank is new. Vehicle also has a few drops of oil when it gets warmed up. Driver’s door shows to be in locked position, but is not. Door will open and close but cannot be locked manually or with key. Vehicle runs strong and is road worthy and has passed all previous Pennsylvania yearly inspections. The under carriage needs no immediate work and in current condition can be driven daily. It is a nce looking mustang that runs and drives great but pictures show areas that need minimal attention. This is a 43-year-old classic. The opening bid of this no reserve auction fairly reflects work needed to be done. I have a clear Georgia title. No refunds as the vehicle is sold as-is where-is. No warranties expressed or implied. I am not a mechanic; the vehicle has been described as accurately as possible. Questions are welcome and will be answered but not necessarily posted. Inspections are welcome and encouraged before sale, not after. Auction may end early as the vehicle is listed for sale locally. The winning bidder to pay $1,000 nonrefundable deposit within 24 hours of auctions end via pay pal. Balance due within 7 days of close of auction paid either in cash or bank transfer. Vehicle and title will not be released until all funds have cleared. Winning bidder responsible for shipping (I have 2 vehicle carriers that I can recommend) but I will assist where I can.
