NO RESERVE! I am putting up for your consideration a significant piece of American history in my opinion. I bought this car about 10 years ago with the intention of restoring it, but as the story goes I keep getting side tracked and things never get done. This car was and is beleived to be the car that was driven by Lyndon Baines Johnson (August 27, 1908 – January 22, 1973), often referred to as LBJ, the 36th President of the United States (1963-1969). Supposedly, from my investigations and conversations with several people, whom have no reason to be untruthful, plus the gentleman I bought it from, this car was on the LBJ Ranch when John F. Kennedy JohJohn Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963), often referred to by his initials JFK, was the 35th President of the United States, serving from 1961 until his assassination in 1963n Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963), often referred to by his initials JFK, was the 35th President of the United States, serving from 1961 until his assassination in 1963, was assasinated. I bought it in Troup Texas and had it trailered here to Nebraska. The body is very straight. It looks though the drivers side front door was repainted at some point due to cracking and peeling that isnt like the rest of the car.All the rest of the paint appears to be factory applied. The trunk floor is rust scaled and thin and is all the way rusted through in some areas. The floors seem solid but I havent pulled up the carpet. The car needs full restoration in other words. The rocker panels, rear quarter panels and fenders look very solid. All the chrome and stainless are well above average. The engine is a 413 V8. I had it running about 5 years ago. Plan on trailering this car. The interior is there but rough. It is a radio delete car. There is a small black rubber grommet in the roof where an antenae must have been. There is a "Department of Defense" decal still attached to the front bumper. I have several names and phone numbers for people who know about this car and I will include them along with the title I have when I sell the car. The car was titled in 1982. I have that 1982 Texas title. I'd hate to see this car just used for parts due to the extraordinary history that this car represents. Supposedly there is a picture of LBJ in THIS CAR with foreign dignitaries out there in cyberspace some where. I did at one point see this but cant for the life of me find it. Every old "Life" magazine I see with anything what so ever to do with LBJ I grab to see if Ian find a picture of this car. Maybe old photos of the LBJ ranch it'll be seen in the backround?? The car is sold as is. You must transport. Email for questions. Thanks Bernie I would like to ad that this car was DRIVEN by LBJ. It was supposedly on the LBJ ranch when JFK was assasinated. So obviously it was a car that the VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES got to drive while JFK was in office. I'm not sure if he drove it after he was sworn in after JFK's death....This car was titled to the Government in 1963 until about 1973 when it was sold at government auction. Government officials didnt title Government cars in their name it belonged to the Government. If any one knows more about this car please contact me and let me know what you know. I've owned in 10 years (approx) and all the people I spoke to knew this car and verified what I claim. Thanks Bernie
