You are looking at a solid 1997 Honda Odyssey LX Mini-Van. I bought this van earlier this year from my video production partner (who bought a newer Honda Pilot). At the time I thought I would need this van for a year for video shoots but I have taken a new job in the city and am more on the producer end again - so I have no need for this van living in the city. This van is so versatile. With the rear seats folded down (into the floor) you can have great storing and moving capabilities - when you tilt the middle passenger seats down - you can really fill this van with tons of gear and or equipment - it's fantastic. Or you can have all seats up and fit 7 people comfortably. Truly a great vehicle. If you are looking for a top notch SUV but don't have a lot of cash on hand - this hand mini-van will give you everything you need. The van handles very nicely. The engine, although only a 4 2.2 Litre engine - actually runs with a lot of zip and has the power to pass. It is impressive locally and on the highway. The stereo works and if you have an iPhone or iPod, you can use a cassette adapter. There are two compartments up front and the dash is huge. Inside the van is very clean. My production partner had maintained this vehicle very well and I recently had the following repairs done as well - so that you will not have to worry about high price maintenance issues: 1. NEW BRAKES! Replaced both FRONT and REAR brake pads - and rotors. 2. Replaced both REAR BRAKE CALIPERS. 3. Replaced OIL FILTER HOUSING GASKET and the OIL PAN GASKET so you will not have to worry about oil leaks. 4. Replaced FRONT DIFFERENTIAL / TRANSAXLE. 5. Power Steering Fluid Exchange Service. 6. Oil, Lube and Filter (good for another 2500 miles). The above repairs were over $2200 so you can bid with confidence knowing that this van is in excellent mechanical condition! All power doors and windows function normally. Now for the cosmetics. It's a city vehicle so there are some dings (I have included close up shots) and there is one bit of paint splash on the driver's side by the rear wheel (from of all things, a Hoboken street painting the center line). There are also a few dents here and there, nothing to write home about. The right rear bumper is out of alignment - this is not from a vehicle accident but from some kids jumping up and off the bumper, rocking it. I had a body shop look at it and they didn't think it would cost much to snap it back into place. You can see on the picture that I've included that it's not much of an issue. I just didn't bother having it fixed. For a while I was considering fixing the bumper and having a paint job from maaco - because I really feel this car has a lot more life to it - but I'm not going to need it now. So for a low investment, you can have it look sweeter later. It actually doesn't look bad at all - but I wanted to include the bad along with the good. The only other thing I'll mention is that the back door needs a good slam shut or water can come in from time to time. I think if you take it to a Honda place or Pep Boys, they can fix the insulation so that it won't happen on your watch. Just a little FYI. Not a big problem for me thus far but I wanted to include everything I know. That's it. This is a fantastic vehicle and has had some major repairs just done - so that you will not have to worry about a thing. The van is extremely reliable and starts up everytime. The battery was tested recently and is in great shape. The tires still have more than half tread left so you won't need to buy tires any time soon.
