Classic 1968 Mercury Cougar with 289 4-barrel V8 engine. Great project car with many new and replacement parts provided. Was going to be a project for me and my son, but he got a girlfriend and lost interest. ;-) Body and frame rails are straight. Some minor dings, but overall the body is in great shape. Floor pan is rusted out in corners and needs to be replaced. Needs rear window glass, air filter, carpeting, headliner, and assorted odds and ends. Wiring and general restoration work needed. We have mostly disassembled the interior and bagged and labeled all the parts. Seats are in OK condition, but I would have them reupholstered to finish the job right. The engine did start when I bought the car last year. Took a little hot wiring and gas in the carb, but it sounded nice. Transmission engaged, but not tested at speed. Registration is clean and up to date. This is a great American classic car that will definitely turn heads! The 2010 Collector Car Price Guide values restored versions of this model as: $8,550 - Class 3 (Very Good)$13,300 - Class 2 (Fine)$19,000 - Class 1 (Excellent)With some work you should easily be able to restore this car to between class 2 and 3.
