I bought this vehicle a few years ago with the intent of driving it to Central America. I hated the thought of breaking down ... especially on some remote jungle road ... so no expense was spared in fixing it up to be as reliable as possible. Unfortunately, my mother got sick and the trip never happened so I ended up with a vehicle that I no longer need. Repaired/replaced parts include the following: clutch, brakes, tires, exhaust, alternator, battery, spark plugs, wires, belts, transmission, wiper blades and a K&N lifetime air filter. All the fluids have been changed - brake fluid, coolant, differntial oil, transmission oil and motor oil. The only motor oil that I've ever used in it is a very high quality, $12/quart motor oil. The 2.0 4-cylinder engine with 5-speed manual transmission gets about 30 mpg or better. You can shift from 2-wheel drive to 4-wheel drive with the simple shift of a lever. Has driver-side and passenger-side air bags and daytime running lights. It could use a new top but the one that is on it is still very functional. The driver's seat has a small tear (see photo) and a very small burn hole, the rear seat has a bit of blue paint on one side that is visible in one of the photos. This vehicle has not been smoked in since being in my possession. The rocker panels do have rust. There are some small scratches and a few small dings but nothing major. The frame is solid. Spare tire is in excellent condition. It has a factory-installed AM/FM stereo with single CD player ... CD player will sometimes not load discs on the first try ... this is an intermittant problem. The air conditioning system has been disabled but could be hooked up again with repairs. This is a great, reliable vehicle that has been well taken care of and is a lot of fun to drive!
