Vehicle Detail
After 13 years of ownership I'm selling my 1992 Toyota Pickup 4x4. Before reading the rest: this truck has a blown head gasket and is not drivable in this condition. If you buy it, you will have to come tow it. I haven't taken anything apart or done any serious diagnostic on it. It will start, but obviously with a blown head gasket you have serious sputtering. This happened back in December, so I've had the truck parked under a covered parking spot for the last 6 months while I decided whether I wanted to sell it or do the engine work. I finally decided that we've had a good run and it's time to pass it on to the next guy. I'm not a mechanic and can't make any guarantees on the extent of damage, so you will be buying AS-IS. This is a special vehicle and you will not find a nicer interior on a truck of this age. Dashboard and vinyl are spotless and truck has never been smoked in. I have the original stereo/cassette players, but as you can see I have replaced with a Clarion CD/cassette unit. The doors have custom-installed JBL 6" speakers. Behind the seat is a custom molded sub box with a 10" Alpine sub. I have an Alpine amp mounted that powers the sub on one channel and the 6" speakers on the other. August 2010 - The truck had a full Air Conditioner replacement. It has a BRAND NEW compressor, condensor, dryer, evaporator core. Needless to say it blows cold air. September 2010 - New O2 sensor, plugs, and new fuel filter February 2010 - I had four new Firestone 31x10.5 tires put on. So these tires only have 5,000 miles on them! Also had idler arm replaced and alignment done at the same time. June 2009 - Had full exhaust replaced from the catalyic converter back to muffler. (Including new catalytic converter). The last major job to the truck was in December 2003 at 148k miles. Did a head gasket replacement, new radiator, thermostat, all hoses and belts, timing chain/cover replacement. I have ALL the service records/receipts on the truck going back to when I first bought it in 1998. I will pass them on the the buyer. From the pictures you will see that the underside of the truck has some rust. The worst offender is the driver side where the leaf spring attaches to the frame (see the close-up photo). In September 2003 I wrecked the truck into a pole and damaged the driver side. It was only body damage and there was no damage to the frame or any mechanical issues. I had a body shop replace the door with a salvage door and one half of the bed came from a salvage bed. They did nice work and the paint is matched perfectly. Other body damage (see photos): the rear bumper is bent; the front passenger side valance is bent; the tip of the front passenger side quarter panel is slightly bent in where the headlight attaches. I've kept the oil changed every 3000-4000 miles. It gets a wax job periodically, as you can see from the shiny exterior. Interior has been kept clean and lubbed with Armor All. I think this will be an awesome find for a Toyota 4x4 enthusiast! Texas buyers: I will be removing the plates and providing you with the title, my last registration receipt, and New Title Application filled out by me. I will accept PayPal or certified check, no personal checks please.
