Here is an original 1966 Mustang GT coupe, A code 289 4V, factory 4spd with very rare factory 3.00 locking differential, power steering and disc brakes. Winbledon White with black Pony Interior, console and rare seatbelt warning light. It has had 15x7 Steel Styled wheels added which look great. Will need paint to be real nice but it still looks great driving down the road and gets lots of compiments. This is a no guilt driver that I would call a 20 footer. The car was used as a regular driver for the last several years by an older gentleman. The body is overall very solid with no rust evident in the floors, rockers, cowl, inner aprons, shocks towers, trunk drop offs and doors. There is very minor rust bubbles in the left quarter but not much. Also a very small spot in the left side of the trunk floor. As you can see in the pictures there is some minor damage to the left rear corner of the car. There is a small dent in the passenger door about quarter sized also but no other body damage. Someone installed a keyed hood lock in the driver's side headlight bucket that is no longer being used. The paint still shines but is weak and has lots of imperfections including chips and tiny bubbles on roof and trunk. It has several areas where the paint chipped, a couple larger than a silver dollar. The have been touched up for protection but are quite evident when the car is looked at closely. I wet sanded a spot on the trunk and the tiny bubbles will come out if you want to put in the effort. There is evidence the it once had a vinyl top. You can see where the trim holes were filled. Floorpans and quarters look original with no sign of replacement. Shock towers are nice with not rust, holes or cracks. Rear bumper is also tweaked but rest of chrome looks pretty good. 15x7 Stell Styled wheels are in good shape with minor pitting. I pictured the wheel that is by far the worst. Tires are in great shape. The interior is very good driver quality with a few imperfections. It has a very nice headliner, dashpad, dash bezel, console and carpet. The seats are overall nice except for a tear on the side of the driver's seat. Door panels have typical cracks. Has factory shifter with working reverse lockout. Dash has LED lights installed so nightime driving is much better than your average Mustang. Comes with factory AM radio but it has an AM/FM radio with IPOD hookup installed in the factory hole with no cutting. Does need a new shift boot but those can be bought on ebay for less than $10. This car runs and drives very good and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere! This is a true fly in and drive home Mustang. Engine is believed to be original and has very low miles on rebuild. Runs excellent with original carb, upgraded Pertronix distributor and factory style dual exhaust. Clutch and transmission work very nice and smooth. Drives straight and smooth down the road and brakes work well. Power steering works well but has a little bit of typical play, not too bad though. All electrical work! That includes fog lights, turn signals, gauges, horn, heater, interior lights, wipers and even the reverse lights. Exhaust sounds very nice, not too loud but it has a nice sound. I have driven lots of Mustangs and early Fords and this is one of the better driving and quicker 65/66 Mustang I have driven. I have driven it quite a bit since the weather got nice and it it a joy to drive. I have done my best to describe the car accurately but please understand that it is a 45 year old car that is not perfect. Car is sold as is/where is and is available for inspection by appointment.
