Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a very clean ford crown vic police interceptor, if you have never owned one of these once you drive one you'll never drive a regular car again, this one was used by the state patrol so most miles are highway, these cars have amazing acceleration and unbelievable handling. Kelly Blue Book value $7,475 * ( that quote does not include police modifications - better transmission, drive shaft, cooling system, heavy duty suspension, high amp alternator, ect....)-Body There is some wear associated with being driven (nothing really noticeable, it just isn't freshly painted ), there are 2 very minor (quarter size) dents from cars in parking lots. There is no rust on body. there are some holes from where equipment was mounted (2 or 3), they all have been sealed with the standard plastic watertight plugs by the police. -Engine Engine runs perfectly, and is relatively clean and rust free. there is a check engine light that came on this winter for an O2 sensor, I love these cars but this happens occasionally with them, it usually is just a dirty airflow sensor, (if not its a $30 part on E-Bay and 1/2 hour labor). There are no other issues with the engine, and no "noises", does not eat any fluids (aside from changing fluids I have never needed to add since purchase) Car usually gets around 22-26 MPG. In addition Interceptors have a high-power alternator for extra juice, high performance transmissions with an extra high gear for netter gas mileage, aluminum drive-shaft for faster acceleration, better cooling system, and thicker stabilizer bars/suspension for amazing cornering + control.-Interior Interior is in very good condition, there are some small holes in dash, headliner and carpet between seats from police equipment (barely noticeable, if you owned a used police car before they did an exceptional job keeping it to a minimum on this one ), there is very little to no staining on upholstery. Interceptors have quick release buttons for the trunk, metal plates inside front seats (to prevent stabbings) and the back doors will not open from the inside, a mechanic can undo this option. Options also include power seats with adjustable lumbar support. Everything works AC, radio, heat and spotlight. Lower "cigarette lighter" power port (there are 2) no longer works. may be a fuse. In case your wondering I am selling this car because we are downsizing our household, not because I want to sell it. I love this car and have never had any issues with it. Car is currently being driven, odometer will not be exact (within 1,000). I am the only owner on the title, it was purchased directly from PD not that long ago. Cancellations by purchaser will be accepted at the time of pickup if inspection does not meet expectations.* Suggested retail value http://www.kbb.com/used-cars/ford/crown-victoria/2004/retail-value/pricing-report?id=2358&condition=excellent&mileage=135000
