Bought this vehicle as a parts car that was wrecked in the front. When I got it in the shop I decided to repair it on account of the diesel MPG and my daughter needed a first car, plus I had some of the parts in my inventory that would be required to complete the repairs. The main parts needed were; the front cross-member, front bumper, air bags, and left fender. I completed the repair process and did the paperwork on the salvage title to bring it to a Tennessee licensable car. I further decided to have the timing belt replaced at the Hallmark VW dealership in Nashville to the tune of $800 (I didn't want my daughter calling me telling me the engine was bad). However, after several driving lessons, it became apparent that my 16 year old daughter wasn't going to be able to master the stick-shift so I decided to sell it. It is not grandpa's car, with the new car smell still in it, it does have scuffs and marks on the interior and assorted dings and chips on the exterior marking it as a decent looking car with no major areas of wreck-damage still to be dealt with. This is a great running car with a smooth engine and sound transmission for someone needing great MPG. I am a Tennessee licensed used car dealer, so I will have to add sales tax on top of the sale price so please bid and plan accordingly.I am also selling this vehicle locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
