1972 Ford Maverick Here is your opportunity to buy a fun little car. His car is currently registered and drivable. This cute little Hot Rod is powered by a 351 Cleveland/M. topped with Edelbrock aluminum intake, and Edelbrock carburetor. The engine is backed up by a fresh B&M prepare C6, complete with B&M tags. Since the engine is a 351M you have the opportunity to replace the engine with either a 400M or a 429 460 LIMA big block since the engine mounts and bell housing are common between these two engine series. The current engine runs excellent and has no need to be replaced. The exhaust includes cast-iron exhaust manifolds flowing into new exhaust system that includes two magna flow mufflers with turndowns at the axles. The chassis modifications include a Mustang/Pinto front suspension, with power rack and pinion. New 5 on 4 ½ inch front rotors. Newly installed Ford Granada 8 inch rear end with new bearings and brakes. The third member is currently a used 2.86 to 1 non-possi. The car was originally a lime yellow but was repainted early in its life a light metallic blue. For wheels the Maverick has Weld Drag Light racing wheels all the way around with brand-new tires. The interior has had all rust in the floor repair and prime, only other rust on the car is a tiny bit in the bottom quarters the rear wheels. (See photo) It has two new fully adjustable lightweight racing seats. All trim holes on the side of the car have also been filled. The hood has been modified to clear the carburetor and air cleaner and has a 1971 Mercury Comet hood scoop. After the photographs were taken we have installed two hood pins to the hood. The Maverick also comes with its rear seat, and plastic interior parts. Sorry we threw away the junkie front bench seat! This car is not perfect but a great starting place for anyone who wants a cute little Hot Rod or racecar. This little Maverick gives you the opportunity drive a car this summer while you’re working on it. We have not painted the car, or began bodywork. It's always dangerous buying a freshly painted car! This gives you the opportunity to take it back to its original lime yellow, or any color, or quality of paint job you might desire.
