It's lived a very good life, never towed heavy, non smoker, looks all original and it has a clean Arizona history. The paint and body are great, interior is super clean, everything works, tires are all great, and it drives just as nice as it looks. These 1500HDs are pretty well identical to the 2500s. They have the same motor, transmission, t-case, axles, and springs. There's a 300lb difference in towing capacity between the 1500HD and the 2500 and from what, I'm really not sure. This truck is perfectly suitable for a gooseneck or 5th wheel, but it's never had one in it. She's a great truck, you'll like this one. exterior The paint and body on this truck are excellent from roof to rubber. It has great gloss, no rust, hail, body damage, no noticeable dings, bad scratches or otherwise problems at all. Apart from a little light road wear on the front end, normal bed use wear, and a couple small chips about the bed rails, it's just beautiful. It looks very much original, everything lines up, matches, history reports read clean, etc, no problems. The tires are excellent, rears are like new and the fronts not far behind. The right rear tire is a different tread pattern, but same brand and size. It doesn't affect ride at all. The windshield is good, bumpers are straight, trim is nice, just a great looking pickup. interior The interior is just as nice. The leather is excellent for the age, all original, no smoke smell inside, totally loaded, and everything works except the telescoping power function of the mirrors. The pan function works fine. These mirrors were poorly designed. NONE of them every stay working long. I've seen a lot of people upgrade to the late model mirrors which still fit on an 05, and actually make it look newer. They're available inexpensively on EBay. Back to our truck though, I can find very little complain about inside at all. It smells really nice, comfy, seat heaters get nice and hot, stereo sounds great, really nice to drive. mechanical I put 250 miles on this truck because I liked it. I own a Dodge diesel and a small fleet of other vehicles, but when it comes to gas trucks, Chevy wins hands down. They are the nicest to drive, the last to wear out, and the motors are bulletproof. In selling a few dozen trucks a month for the last 10 years, I have spent less money fixing gas Chevy trucks than anything. Our mechanic drives one, we like buying them because there's less risk, and in all honesty, they're superior to diesels in many ways. This truck is essentially a 3/4 ton. It has the same exact drive-train, and the same body. Why the towing capacity is a mere 300lbs less I don't know, but my guess is, no reason. This is a 3/4 ton except for the emblems and the VIN number. It will tow whatever you want, haul what you want, and it drives exactly like one. We didn't do much to the truck, changed the oil and filter. The fluids all look clean and full. It drives perfectly straight, tons of power, shifts excellent, 4x4 works easy, and it's quiet going down the road. There's no odd noises, no leaks, and no signs of any future problems.
