Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my baby, a 1971 Dodge Challenger, #'s matching beauty with her original 383, Sure Grip rear end, and loaded with options and tons of new parts. She has the original rebuilt 383 with about 1500 miles on her. She starts right up, idles perfect and of course NO smoking or knocking at all! The engine block has the partial VIN of 1B211226 stamped on her! The 383 was professionally rebuilt, bored .030 over with a mild cam installed, and everything new inside. The car has new Viper Red paint, which was a multi stage paint job, new top, new interior, new door panels, etc. The car has NO RUST!! She has all of her original sheet metal also with no signs of ever being in an accident! The car is VERY STRAIGHT! You can drive this car anywhere, and she has been to several shows, including Mopars at the Strip 2011. She is not perfect, as I drive her several times per week. I enjoy people starring at her, and the thumbs up so, she is not a garage queen! The car will speak for itself, and please email me with any questiosn you have. The car is being sold with NO RESERVE!!! I have several more pics of the car is necessary. Don't miss your chance to own the RAREST YEAR of the Challengers, as only 27,000 were sold in 71, making this car pretty rare! INFO: I relisted the car due to poor picture quality on the last auction, the car is Viper Red, and it looked like she was more orange. I included the new pics and a few of the original pics also. I wanted to make sure the color was portrayed correctly. Good Luck VIN: JH23L1B211226... See Pic of Data Tag for options! ENGINE/ TRANS: The engine is the rebuilt original 383, that purrs like a kitten. She is backed by Flowmaster 40's series mufflers with a new exhaust system. The exhaust system is capped off with the stainless quad tips. The heads were outfitted with hardened valve seats also for unleaded fuel. The car has Power steering, and a rebuilt steering box that works great. The A/C system needs two lines to be complete. I have a rebuilt compressor on there, new condenser, and some new lines so far. The radiator is fresh rodded and she runs less than 1/2 way temp wise her in Vegas. The car was converted to Electronic Ignition also. I installed a new fan clutch also, with a large five blade fan. The engine runs super and is a turn key car all the time, and everytime. The car has New brakes and Brake hardware all the way around. The transmission is a rebuilt 727 with a Hughes 2000 stall torque converter. The trans shifts perfectly, and is backed by a factory Sure Grip rearend with 3.23 gears. The driveshaft has new Brute Force u-joints, and she is solid. INTERIOR/ EXTERIOR: The interior is in excellent shape overall with new carpet, new headliner, new seat upholstery front and back, and she looks great. I installed new door panels and rear panels too. The windows work perfectly and the windshield is brand new. The car has new weatherstripping all the way around, including the doors, roof rails, quarter windows, and trunk. The dash has 3 cracks in it, but I have a new dash cap to go with the car. The gauges all work perfectly, speedo works fine, and I installed a new turn signal switch so all the lights, and signals all work like new. Even the door buzzer works, as annoying as it is! The console is in good shape but missing the ashtray, so I have a spare partial console to go with the car. The car has New Arm Rest bases, New A pillar covers, New Visors, and a New T Shifter handle! I had the original dimmer switch rebuilt, back to new condition, and it works great. I also have several vintage manuals that go with the car, and a Challenger front plate too. There is a partial original build sheet is still behind the rear seat but, it's very fragile so I left it in place. The exterior was painted Viper Red about 5 months ago, and it was a multi stage paint job with a a color sand and buff that was ALOT of money. The paint looks great but, she does have a few chips from being driven. I would say 3-5 at most if I had to guess. I did put on a new front valance, and a new RT rear valance on the car. The vinyl top is brand new and it was custom made, not bought and put on. The chrome around the car is in pretty good shape overal with a mixture of new and original pieces. The trunk lip molding is new, the antenna is new, the Challenger emblems are new, the pentastar is new. The bumpers are good overall, and the front grille is good overal with a small piece missing from the passenger corner area. The wheel lip moldings are brand new also. The rims are American Racing Torque Thrust 2's with BFG tires... 245/60/15 in the rears, and 235/ 60/15 up front and they have god tread left on them. INFO: The car is a VERY NICE DAILY DRIVER TYPE CAR!!!. The car is NOT perfect by any means but it’s 40 years old also. Please know this before bidding. I tried to cover the car the best I could so, if you have any questions please email me, and I will answer them ASAP. There's no warranty on the car, and it's sold "AS IS". The car may be inspected anytime BEFORE the auction closes! I may end the auction at anytime. The wining bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements. There is a $1000.00 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of the auctions end. The remaining balance is due within 3 days of the auction closing. ONLY THE DEPOSIT MAY BE PAID WITH PAYPAL, THE REMAINING BALANCE MUST BE CASH, OR A CASHIER'S CHECK. The car must be picked up within 2 weeks of the auction closing. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thank You and good Luck!
